“Not to miss”
Reviewed January 16, 2013

It is a walk and climb to get to the top but take your time and the reward is hundreds of Moai in different stages of construction laying around or half buried, the crater lake is peaceful and the view of the island is worth the trek!

“Outstanding place”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

There is nothing to say against this place. With a good guide you can enjoy the Moai factory as well as the volcanic lake.

“Inspiring”
Reviewed December 12, 2012

A don't miss visit! One of the key reasons you would come to Easter Island. Definitely worth it. Seeing the MOAI still in progress in the volcano is amazing.

“The site to see!”
Reviewed December 1, 2012

You can watch a million shows on any network you choose but they cannot compare to seeing the unfinished and undelivered moai up close and personal. The site is amazing and fantastic and so much more. It was the trip of a lifetime.

“Don't leave Rapa Nui without coming here”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

Not only are they numerous moai along the hillside (which allows for great photo opportunities), but also this is a great place to see moai that were in the process of being carved but were abandoned before they were finished. The entire rock face of the volcano has countless moai in the making. Definitely visit--it'll cost about $80 USD for a ticket that gets you in to Ranu Raraku and Orongo, but it's worth the money.
