Really good value for money, good sized room and bathroom - bath was great after so much hiking! Friendly staff and good view from the communal area. We only stayed one night but for the money I was impressed, breakfast was far from extensive but thats not such an issue compared to other areas.

Stayed at Infinito Sur as we got a good price offer on Expedia. We had a room at the lower floor. The size of the room was Good and it was very clean. There was no view and people passing in front of the window at night, spooky. Breakfast, even for Argentina, was poor. But the the view from the breakfast/reception area was beautiful. Next time, I would look around a little bit more.

very comfortable and fairly priced for El Chalten. The room was nice, everything worked and the beds are comfortable. Barking dogs at night, but thats not the hotel's fault. gorgeous view if you get a clear sky. Lucia at the front desk was a real highlight of our trip, very helpful with good advice and wonderful attitude. The breakfast could be improved, the location is good (Tapera right around the corner is good food). Better than average!

Spent 3 nights, great advice on hiking from Chino, lovely space to hang out during a storm and have a bottle of wine, great decor, great view from main lobby area, loved our stay. Lucia also very helpful and accommodating. One small constructive criticism, while the breakfast was a step up from other places, there never seemed to be enough coffee or whole wheat bread, everyone always had to ask for more and the somber red hair'd morning person would put out a small amount more, then the next person would have to ask again, like coffee rations, how about a back up pot of coffee, I only say this as it was our favorite hotel of our trip and wish them success.

I hate to write this very negative feedback but I want to make sure other people are aware.
The location is beautiful, the view on Fitz Roy from the dining room is breathtaking.
The rooms were clean but some more space for the clothes would be appreciated.
The breakfast was nothing to write home about, the homemade cake and bread were okay but some real cheese or cold meat would have been a good change especially when you are staying for three nights.
But the really bad thing, for some reason from our group of six, four peple were missing two pieces of outdoor equipment which was taken out of the rooms during our absence.
The room on the main floor had no missing items.
Beware when you stay there, make sure you get one of the two rooms on the main floor.

FYI
We are missing a blue rain coat Marmot, a Tilly hat, a yellow coat Arcteryx, a fleece shirt Schoeffel, soft-shell jacket, etc (overall value 1500 US$)

We have never had a robbery situation in our lodge.
Our place is safe enough. No one who is not in the lodge could ever get in.
It’s absolutely absurd that such a serious accusation is made as this, without having proof it has really happened in our lodge. Ther rest of the comments prove our excellent reputation, which is being harmed by this accusation.

we were tempted by the astonishing pictures at the site of the hosteria but arriving we noticed that the house is not so remote or charming as it looks at the website. the houses neighboring were simply cut out of the picture in their home page and a picturesque nature was "foto shoped" as a backround. the rooms are very small and are arranged in a long corridor fronting each other. the only view is from the dining room terras.
but the staff was excelent. Josefina and Vaneca worked like profesional turist guides. Our good expirience in El Chalten was as good as it was thanks to their edvice.

The rooms are nice and very clean, the communal area is nice, but lacking in warmth or character, and there are no added extras like a hair dryer, or even a communal TV (which even the hostels have!). The breakfast is just OK, so if it weren´t for the staff, I would think it is an OK place. But, the STAFF, you felt like you were intruding in their day if you asked for anything, one didn´t turn up for breakfast until 9am (so we had to go and buy our breakfast elsewhere, but in fairness, they did take it off our bill), and when we asked for a late check out, and the hotel was obviously not full, they flattly declined. This could be a great place with some love and new staff, but at the moment, I couldn`t recommend it.
