El Chaltén has many tourist bars and so so restaurants but this cafe has real character.
It is 5 mins walk off the Main Street which means it is not so busy. Very friendly staff and delicious food. It is a cafe with a limited but home made menu. On our first day we had apple and ginger cake and white chocolate almond cake. We went back the next day intending to have the same again after the pizza. The pizza - made in front of us was so tasty and filling we only had room for a couple of slabs of their home made chocolate. This cafe deserves to,succeed and I would recommend it without hesitation . Very good value also and they take cards - crucial in Argentina!

The best dessert place with awesome Alfajores (triple) ever! Beautiful Café in a wooden hut! All deserts are home made. Went there twice and even bought some chocolate and alfajores to take away.

Well worth a visit to this quirky cafe with loads of atmosphere, an oil drum fire and large upstairs table with view. Real chocolate, try the hot chocolate and home made apple pie. Rum options too to spice the chocolate. Yum yum great if raining.

My friends and I spent an entire afternoon here on a rainy day in El Chalten. We had coffee, hot chocolate, local beer, pizza, toasted sandwiches, brownies, apple & ginger tart, alfajores and homemade chocolate. All absolutely delicious and good value for money.
