We were here in May, 2012. It was very cold everywhere else and we were bundled up in boots, coats, gloves, hats and scarves. When our tour stopped here we were able to shed some of our heavy outter wear. It was really fascinating. I loved it. I wish I would have thought to take my shoes off and walk in the sand bare footed. I love little stops along a tour that have very fascinating stories. We were one of the tour buses everyone was complaining about but I'm glad we stopped.
