“Interesting blend of meal and decor”
Reviewed March 1, 2014

I stopped in at this place because jazz music was playing from outside and it was cold. It has a new name (Chez Pneault) and I gather they are in transition. The decor suggest bistro pub yet the table d'hote being offered suggests upscale. The meal was good, presentation was fabulous, the service was friendly, the price was very reasonable. If you can get past the mustard and ketchup packs in a bowl on the table and a view of the kitchen (granted I could have sat somewhere else) it is a good place to have a meal.

“Turn for the worst since last visit”
Reviewed December 11, 2013 via mobile

We came here on a quiet night hoping to have a great meal like we had previously last year. We were the only diners in the restaurant which made it rather awkward as we felt we were being watched by server as we ate. The server was friendly and attentive.( I would hope so being the only guests there) we ordered prix fix menu; onion soup, chicken and dessert. What a disappointment. We kept hearing the microwave buzzing and beeping in the background before being served each course and it was quite apparent that it wasn't fresh. The taste was below average. The chicken was rubbery and didn't taste right. Although it was the same menu as our last visit, the quality seemed to be lacking. Unfortunately I don't think we will be returning.

“Tasteless food, weird service...”
Reviewed October 1, 2013 via mobile

Food was not bad, just did not have any flavor, service was abrupt with a not so welcoming touch. The location is great and it is one of the only place to go for a late meal/drink on a Monday evening (20h00).

“great staff and mussels”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

Yum!!! Good prices. Very friendly staff even though we only speak english. We were surrounded by locals eating, which to me is a good sign. We had the smoked salmon pizza, and fruits de merre/scallops, shrimp, mussles. The portion are very large and yummy. Great value for money!!! no resos needed. I would go back!!!

“mmm delicious”
Reviewed March 13, 2013

We came here after reading many positive trip advisor reviews and we are so glad we did. We chose from the prix fixe menu and I enjoyed every bite. The prices were very reasonable too. I had the french onion soup to start which was made in a port reduction with a puff pastry topping. It was incredible. My husband was so jealous he had wished he had ordered it himself. Instead he had the local cured meats to start which were great but not as good in comparison. For our mains we had duck and chicken supreme which we both thoroughly enjoyed. The service was great, our server was very attentive and helpful in her recommendations. The restaurant was filled with locals and tourists, it was not a stuffy atmosphere at all. Outside the window you have a great view of the church which looked stunning during the snowfall. We look forward to coming back here next year when we visit again.
