We were in the old section first night and were lucky to be able to move for the next two nights. The double bed in the old section and the small bathroom were not comfortable.
The breakfast is really excellent value.
The location of this small hotel is perfect and the restaurant very good.

Room Tip: don't stay in old part of hotel

This comfy BandB is situated in the heart of Baie St Paul idealy situated on rue St Jean Baptiste but set back from the street.Geogeous, well mantained home. It is connected to the Bouquet restaurant who serves delicious local food all day. Breakfast includes almost everything on the menu. Ample parking. Couteous reception all through.

Ideal location as situated in the middle of the very quaint Baie St Paul. Rue St Jean Baptiste is full of small shops, art galleries and restaurants.

La Muse was comfortable, quiet, nicely appointed bedroom, bathroom needed some attention but overall no complaints. We were on the second floor which meant a few steps to climb but they were not difficult.

Breakfast was served in Chez Bouquet which is attached to the Auberge and we also enjoyed dinner one evening and the food was very good. It is enjoyable sitting outside, weather permitting, and watching the passersby.

Wifi access was hit and miss, the bedroom access was either non existant or very slow. However access in the dining room was very good.

Major road works are being done in Rue St Jean Baptiste which caused some problems for us on arrival , however the road behind Auberge La Muse gives great access to the parking lot so once that was discovered we had no problems. The road to aim for is Rue Forget. We were told the road works should finish at the end of the summer.

A great place to stay and for exploring the countryside.

This inn is a good choice if you're not looking for luxury or unique lodgings. Our room had some charm, and was comfortable and roomy enough, had two comfortable chairs, which is often not the case, and was very clean and very well situated. We had not booked ahead, and so we looked at a several other places, including Maison Otis (see below), and we were happy when we found this inn and were extremely happy with the room for two days, The staff speaks little english , which is not a problem, but you don't get the connection with innkeepers if you do not speak french. First of all, it is located in town, within walking of everything, several of the higher rate dinns are well outside of town. The house and grounds are well kept, and there is a upper balcony off the hallway from the rooms at the back, where you can sit and sunbathe, or read and relax.
the breakfast was very ordinary, not terrible but we felt it was not worth the extra $10 per person, and the second day we ate elswhere. The reaturant looks nice, but having experienced breakfast, we weren't inclined to try the dinner or lunch.
we felt it was good value, clean and comfortable and had some nice small touches. FYI, Maison Otis, which is recommended in a few travel books, is in bad need of updating. rooms and the whole place smells musty, good servie when we asked to see rooms, but we were turned off by the atmsosphere. we ate La noir Mouton - excellent! but no lamb that night on the menu! go figure...
