“Wonderful people make your stay a real treat!”
Reviewed July 30, 2012

My wife and I stayed here for a week in July and I can honestly say it was the best B&B we have ever stayed in ( and beats ANY hotel ... even better than the best suites for twice the price). Rick had great recommendations for our vacation, the breakfasts were fantastic, Karen keeps the place in tiptop shape, the whole family was welcoming. We didn't want to leave and certainly will be back! Thank you to Rick, Deborah, Sarah, Sean, and Karen for a great vacation!

Room Tip: Go for the King suite on the third floor... worth the stairs every day!

Three generations of our family stayed for 2 nights, July 6-8, 2012, and can highly recommend it. The inn has been lovingly restored to add modern amenities while keeping the historic original best features of the house. Our hosts were very congenial,. the beds very comfortable and the breakfasts offered plenty of variety and ample delicious food cooked to order. Our 23-month old grandson enjoyed meeting Frankie who very generously shared his toys. We would certainly stay here again when we next visit this area.

This is a really fun B & B to stay in. Beautifully restored, authentic and nice owners who run the place all add up to a great stay.

Two generations pitch in to keep it going and the vibe is super relaxed and very comfortable. You have a cooked to order breakfast with your choice of times to eat.

We had originally booked the Cunard room but when being shown around by Rick he told us we could choose another unoccupied room so we changed to the Rufus Curry room. It was large, airy and bright and the bathroom was a really good size with a claw foot tub and a separate shower.

Rick, the senior owner was very hospitable and a lot of fun with his jokes. My husband really enjoyed having a beer with him and checking out his car collection. His wife Debbie was a lovely lady who handles the breakfast end of things.

If we're ever back in the Windsor area we would love to stay here again.

Exceptional is a word that comes to mind when thinking about our stay at the "Clockmakers Inn." We stayed in the Kings Suite which is located on the third floor, it was amazing and the innkeepers had left nothing out! The shower was heavenly and the whirlpool tub in the room definitely hit the spot after a day of sightseeing. At breakfast our host Rick had us in stitches! What a sense of humor! The breakfast was large and plentiful....you are given a sheet when you check in to pick out which breakfast you would prefer. My Husband and I stay at a different BB each year on our Anniversary, this is our sixth and by far our BEST!!!

The Clockmaker's Inn is a fabolous place to stay. The home itself is a gem that has been impecably restored. The owners are great and the food is awsome. This is a place that we return to several times a year.

We had a great time in the Kings Suite at the Clockmaker's Inn; the photos on the website don't do it justice. The corner suite was about 600 square feet on the top floor with high vaulted ceilings, king bed, double jet tub, double shower, double vanities, wide screen TV, DVD, Wifi, love seat and kitchenette. The room was very quiet, it didn't share walls with any other rooms and we only heard our neighbors once in the hall.

The owner meets you on arrival to show you around and you fill out a slip for your breakfast in the morning. Breakfast was awesome! The two dining rooms seat about ten and everything was from scratch plus hot coffee, tea, cereals and fruit. We'll be back!

Draw backs: The website needs more photos to help you choose the right room and I tried to use the complimentary long distance on the guest phone but I got an error message. I suppose I could have gone next door to the owners' residence for help but I got over it.

Room Tip: Third floor rooms are quiet and don't share any walls. Kings suite has a double corner jet tub a...
