An amazing example of Persian architecture. The blue domes of the shrine are a prime example of the tile makers art.

I had no trouble with photographs. It was necessary to wear a chador but this was supplied at the entrance to the mosque. Inside we found a group of young female students from the nearby university having a picnic in a corner. Everywhere there were mirrors & more mirrors. This is a stunning sight well worth a visit. It is also a working mosque so at times it is difficult to enter. Men & women enter separate parts.

This is a very important Islamic mosque used by the faithful for over 800 years. I was able to enter so long as I wore a chador that the lady at the front door kindly supplied. Men and women go into Iseparate parts of the mosque.

Splendid. Most people probably ignored this site. But the mirror decorations in the main hall are so beautiful and sophisticated
