“A Lucky Find”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

Stayed at Crickhowell on way home after short break at West Wales. Our B&B hosts recommended The Bear for our evening meal, and we were glad to take their advice. Good food, nice atmosphere, good service, and comfortable.

Hi there and thanks for your review.

I'm pleased we were as good as the recommendation suggested.

We would make a good stopover for anyone visiting West Wales

Kind Regards

“fantastic setting, service and food”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

Wonderful dog friendly bar with friendly helpful staff. The sunday lunch menu is excellent in choice and value and the food is excellent.
The staff are so nice and accomodating - they even popped a firework candle in the birthday cake we'd taken along to celebrate my dads birthday.

“Great Dinner”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

Saturday evening, but managed to get a table in one of the busy rooms. Ordering at the bar can get interesting as only a small area and always seemed busy, but staff were pretty friendly. The food was all very good quality, the lamb burger particularly was very good.

Decent desserts and good value for money.

“Safe bet”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

Lunch here on a regular basis

Comfortable, clean surroundings - the staff are always pleasant and there is always a good selection of "specials" to augment the main menu

Not cheap, but reasonably priced for the quality of the fayre

Hope to eat there for many years to come
