Visited this hotel as an anniversary suprise for my wife. We had our wedding reception here 33 years before. Arrived as pre booked time 1230 and were shown straight to our table by reception staff. Nice clean dining room overlooking beautiful valley through large windows. Opted for the three course meal. Three chioces for each course and free glass of quite acceptable wine. Salmon with salad for me pate and homemade bread for my wife. main course stuffed boneless chicken with mash, desert lemon tart cream ginger snap rasberry coulis. All superb. quick friendly service £35 the lot. Definately going back but wont leave it 33 years.

We stayed two nights on one of the Manor's DBB deals. It was excellent value: lovely room, good food and friendly and obliging staff. We even managed two stints in the spa (pool/jacuzzi/sauna/steam-room), to work up an appetite for the substanial breakfast!

Room Tip: We were upgraded before we arrived to one of their 'better' rooms, so don't know what th...

I have stayed at The Manor twice now for 2 night breaks and have enjoyed my time there.
I booked 3 rooms on my second stay and all were clean with views of the hills and local wildlife.
We haven't got a bad word to say about the hotel.
Lovely rooms, beautiful views and friendly staff.
The food was of high standard too!

We were guests at scan099's wedding
Doubt they could have found a better location - fantastic views, super food at the Wedding Breakfast and Evening Hog Roast, super large room and a good breakfast the following morning.
The hotel should give scan099's Mum a contract for the Welsh Cakes which were available pre reception as they were superb
Our room was over the indoor pool (the slight smell gave it away) but we weren't disturbed by anyone using it. Our room had a double bed and a twin room (I was sent there after too many Peronis !).
Following a hearty breakfast we were made very welcome at the local Anglican Church for their Easter Day service and then we made our way home through the Brecon Beacons and then up the Welsh / English border.
A delightful 2 day stay in Wales (not bad for a proud Englishman)

Stopped here on whilst on the way into Mid Wales. Great location just off the A40. Reception very friendly and helpful. Bar was nice and had some local beers on. Room was nice, had everything you'd need for a stay. Breakfast was very nice, had the best Vegatarian Sausages I've ever had.

This small chain of 'restaurants with rooms' situated in the Brecon Beacons, certainly live up to their name. The quality of food was outstanding, and they use seasonal local produce. The service was also very good, all members of staff we encountered were very helpful. It was my husbands birthday whilst we were there, and they made us feel very special. The manor hotel is also ideally located, for you to explore local towns and villages, and for walking in the Brecons.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view, and email to see what offers the hotel is currently running.

We had our wedding reception here on march 30th 2013 and nothing was too trouble for the staff. Belinda who helped to organise it Rob the ever so friendly barman and Kath who also very helpful. Our requirements changed quite a few times in the run up to the wedding day and all of these changes were handled without complaint. Most of our guests booked rooms again this was easy and no complaints from anyone regarding the rooms, breakfast, the wedding breakfast and the venue overall.
Had a fantastic day no complaints about any of the staff who were all smiles and friendly. My wife's mother was taken ill and the hotel went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable even taking some food and drinks to the room for her.
Overall would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the front of the hotel just for the excellent views
