Our group of 5 recently stayed for a weekend (3 nights) at a fantastic price of £250. Upon first arriving at the site, we were all blown away with the location. It's simply beautiful!
We were provided with fire wood, which we used to create a fire for warmth/BBQ every night, which proved to be great fun! The owners were incredibly welcoming and restocked our firewood once it was getting low. They also let us bring an extra tent so it could accommodate for our entire party.
The kitchen was fully fitted with everything we needed. Gas cooker, kettle, 6 sets of cutlery, dishes, mugs and glasses. There was even a gas powered shower, a real luxury!
As for seating, there were logs and a swing-chair by the fire pit, which was our favourite spot. When it rained, we were able to take shelter under a wooden gazebo which had table and chairs inside.
The trip to the nearest Tesco is around 25/30 minutes away, where we got all the food we needed for the weekend.
I loved how this site took out all of the usual fuss with camping. With 3 people or less you can simply turn up with your change of clothes, food and toiletries and then relax. Then, we only needed an extra tent and sleeping bags to make it suitable for 5!
Below I have given a 4 star rating for "Sleep Quality". The Tipi itself had no issues at all but the site is adjacent to a field of cows/sheep which tend to make noise in the morning.
