Reviewed June 24, 2010

We only found Porth-y-Berlain when trying for another property and being referred to it. We headed to Abergaveny for the night but found the town very unappealing. Crickhowell is much nicer.
Owner Jean Whitney is a lovely lady who is most attentive to her guests. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. Breakfast is filling! And it was the best value B&B we stayed in during 2 weeks of touring.
Good luck Jean, we hope the review brings you many more and much deserved bookings! Also thank you for the recommendation of the Bear Inn for dinner.
