We had a really great stay at the farmhouse thank you. It was ideal for us (4 couples and a dog) and we thought the kitchen was bigger than we expected. We also enjoyed the log burner, barbecue and the suggested walk in the surrounding area. One of my friends had the Ordance survey map app on his smartphone which really helped navigate around the area. The wifi in the cottage worked well once we entered the wireless key that is written on the router. Although the farmhouse is in a quiet peaceful area it is not far to drive to nearby towns with a big tesco for food and restaurants.

We arrived very late at night in the dark and found it quite diffcult to find the right farm track to go down which was our own fault really as the directions are specific but we were tired. My adivce is to read the directions provided properly and look carefully for the pole with the 3 stripes on it at the end of the farm track.

“A lovely house in beautiful peaceful location. The perfect place if you want to 'get away from it all'!”

We had a wonderful stay recently with our 2year old daughter. The house was really welcoming and very well equipped. Scenery was stunning and the owners were friendly and thoughtful from the outset, keeping in touch by text/email. Our 3night break was over too soon and we can't wait to return. A perfect place to unwind and totally get away from it all!

“Large, clean, well equipped, quiet”

Had a wonderful stay at Carregywen. The house itself is large with plenty of room. The bedrooms are all of good size, even the 'small' one. Everything was so clean. This is the first time we have taken our dog on holiday so we have never rented from a place that accepts pets. I'll be honest, I was fearing it would not be as clean as I wanted. I was wrong, it was spotless.
Typically in rental properties kitchen equipment is very basic-not here. Plenty of everything that you could want. The bathrooms were well equipped as well.
The only sounds that you hear are the nearby sheep, birds, and the occasional cow. No cars or loud neighbors here!
In closing this is the perfect place to get away from it all.

“wonderful place - we really didn't want to leave”
Reviewed August 24, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

The farmhouse was everything we hoped: amazingly well-equipped, comfortable and welcoming. And the views are fantastic too. We loved being in such a quite, remote location, but there were still plenty of day trip opportunities to keep the children entertained.

“Peaceful and relaxing”

The seven members of our family aged over three generations all enjoyed a lovely peaceful and relaxing week at this property. Situated about a quarter of a mile from the nearest road, the house enjoys wonderful views over open farm land with mountains in the back-ground. The garden area around the house is enclosed with a good fence which allows dogs to run free under supervision.
The house has a fully equipped kitchen and the garden has an excellent BBQ and seating area.
The beds were comfortable and clean. The two en-suits and the family bathroom were clean and well equipped. There were no ground floor facilities and therefore would be difficult for disabled people.
We would certainly love to return here again one day.

We have just returned from carregywen farmhouse with fond memories of a most enjoyable weekend break for our family .Our party consisted of six adults and three children' one of whom is an eleven month old baby. The farmhouse is extremely spacious but also has a very cosy and friendly atmosphere. The bedrooms are comfortable with beautifull viewsof the surrounding countryside, with the added bonus of being ensuite .kithen and bathrooms were well stocked with everything needed for our stay. I would highly recomend a stay here to all seeking a tranquill and very beautifull farmhouse holiday
