“Peaceful and relaxing”

The seven members of our family aged over three generations all enjoyed a lovely peaceful and relaxing week at this property. Situated about a quarter of a mile from the nearest road, the house enjoys wonderful views over open farm land with mountains in the back-ground. The garden area around the house is enclosed with a good fence which allows dogs to run free under supervision.
The house has a fully equipped kitchen and the garden has an excellent BBQ and seating area.
The beds were comfortable and clean. The two en-suits and the family bathroom were clean and well equipped. There were no ground floor facilities and therefore would be difficult for disabled people.
We would certainly love to return here again one day.

We have just returned from carregywen farmhouse with fond memories of a most enjoyable weekend break for our family .Our party consisted of six adults and three children' one of whom is an eleven month old baby. The farmhouse is extremely spacious but also has a very cosy and friendly atmosphere. The bedrooms are comfortable with beautifull viewsof the surrounding countryside, with the added bonus of being ensuite .kithen and bathrooms were well stocked with everything needed for our stay. I would highly recomend a stay here to all seeking a tranquill and very beautifull farmhouse holiday

“The best farmhouse I have ever rented!”

Fantastic location with probably the best equipped farmhouse we have ever stayed in.
A great location for visiting local attractions / towns but at the end of the day you felt completely alone with a sky free of light pollution! I have never seen so many towels and although we were not a 'full compliment' of people staying in the house it was lovely having 3 bathrooms all with really good showers.
We had a really relaxing time with wonderful sunny weather which meant that the garden was also well used. Very comprehensive house booklet and very welcoming e-mails prior to our visit.
We intend to book again for next year!

This is our third stay here. The peace and quiet and beautiful views make it a perfect hideaway. The cottage is well stocked and all the rooms are comfortable - upstairs and down! Because of the size of the property you never feel on top of one another, even with 8 adults staying. Love love love it!

“A very special Easter break”

We have just returned from a wonderful long weekend break at this farmhouse. We were a party of 7 adults and we had plenty of space in the house which is extremely well equipped. The stack of towels is a sight to behold! Having 3 bathrooms meant we were never queuing for the shower and, as chief cook, I really appreciated the open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area which meant I didn't feel isolated in the kitchen. One of our party was revising for exams and found the peaceful snug ideal to work in. Another member of our group is a keen mountain biker and spent a couple of days out at different local centres. The log burner was great with a fabulous supply of wood. We went on several lovely walks from the farmhouse and loved seeing the hundreds of lambs at every turn. We can recommend the horse riding at Cantref. Finally, Gary, could not have been more helpful.

“It was exactly what I hoped for when booking!”

I recently stayed at this lovely farmhouse with 5 adult members of my family, 1 toddler and our excitable Labrador. This house suited us perfectly - 3 double bedrooms for the 3 couples and a cot for little Miss - we didn't need to use the twin room at all. The kitchen was full of every pot and pan we could possibly want to use, way too much fridge space for a weekend and the luxury of a dishwasher! The sofas were comfy, the log burner a toasty warm god-send in the mid-wales winter (and the seemingly endless logs), plenty of space and an oversized table that all of us could get around and the dog under! The downstairs cupboards have almost every board game going, the dvd's kept the other half's of 2 of us entertained and we didn't get as far as the books! The snug was snuggly and escape from the others. Everything was clean and easy to find - loved the hot water bottles on the first night, and their interesting covers! It was exactly what I'd hoped for when booking! Big thank you to Gary for being at the end of an email with every question I asked and the handbook provided was fab! I could continue...

Stayed here as part of a group of 8 to celebrate the New Year. Lots of helpful communication from Gary, the owner, including a information pack detailing local attractions and services. House was very well presented and decorated for Christmas - lovely! Living room was very cosy with the wood burner on, although the bedrooms were a little chilly, the hot water bottles provided went down a treat :-) All in all a top location
