“Abbey Cwm Hir, Llandrindod Wells.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2013

A group of friends visited Abbey Cwm Hir manor for the second time recently, and it was as beautiful and interesting this time around. The 52 roomed house, in acres of grounds is well worth a visit. Nestled in a very picturesque valley it provides a perfect setting. The owner and host Paul, is very welcoming, and indeed, very amusing, and for him, I am sure this is a labour of love. Pay a visit, especially the Christmas event, well worth your time and money.

“Great Fun!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2013

We had been staying near Hereford for a short break and picked up a leaflet on our travels. As it was on our way home (ish) we rang the evening before to check opening, the owner rang back with an affirmative and so we drove through the cold and the snow to the Hall.
Well worth the effort, the place is a tribute to the couple whose endeavours and have put their personal stamp on the whole massive house, no mean feat. We have visited similar venues such as Snowshill and Cragside and The Hall fits in along with them as being unique and cared for and very much a lived in home. National Trust please note.
The vast collection of items made the mind boggle - every room was different and fun, and we came away with smiles on our faces. The owner guides you round the house and obviously is very informative and friendly - and just like home we were asked to take our shoes off before embarking on the tour!

“Quirky, one off, inspiring old house”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2013

Visited today in the snow whilst on a stay in Llandrindod wells a few miles down road. Fascinating house. I don't agree with a previous reviewer criticising furniture and additions to wallpaper. Each to his own - I really liked it. Cosy and individual. Some beautiful features. I would love to stay there and fancy playing hide and seek there too!
