“It's has all you could want wish for”
Reviewed December 5, 2017 for a stay in December 2017

GRANARY COTTAGE-Was everything we could ask for and more for our much needed relaxing weekend break away -The views from the upstairs sitting room are spectacular,The hosts Margot and Anthony are the perfect host's and we were given a very warm greeting from both of them and they were there if we should need anything but as the cottage has everything- we wanted for nothing,--- We hope to go back again soon and investigate everything in and around at length

Me and my family had amazing time. The kids enjoyed interacting with the horse, the dog and the cat. The views are breath taking and the clean air is wow. We had a car so we could go to all the nice activities around Llandrindod

“Great place for a countryside break”
Reviewed May 3, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

This is a great place to stay if you are looking for some classic countryside life of the 'valleys' and want to explore the area by foot or bike. Excellent scenery and starry skies which can be enjoyed outside and also from the cottage itself by the huge skylight window.
The cottage was pleasant and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The owners were friendly, had a good knowledge of the area and were helpful.

“First stay at Granary Cottage”
Reviewed April 14, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

What a lovely peaceful place to stay. Our daughter stayed in the Straw Cottage last year with our grandchildren they liked it so much that they booked it again for this Easter. As the Granary Cottage was available for the same 4 nights my wife and I decided to give it a try and we where so pleased that we did.
So quite and peaceful lovely views and we even had SNOW in April. If you want a peaceful break then this is the place to stay.
Granary Cottage has every thing that you need.
Thank You Margot

“Perfect bolt hole in the hills”
Reviewed January 23, 2016 for a stay in January 2016

We recently stayed in the cottage for a week, and loved it! Home for a night and we miss waking up in Wales. Margot and Anthony are very friendly and welcoming, and their farm dog and cat equally so. Despite freezing temperatures we stayed cosy, and wth a large kitchen and dining area as well as lounge upstairs, there's plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen is very well equipped, and there are books and games to keep you entertained. The view from the lounge window is absolutely stunning, and a perfect place to make the most of the clear skies and look at the stars. We're keen walkers and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the Elan Valley and moorlands, as well as more local walks from the town itself. Llandrindod has everything you need, including a spa at the Metropole Hotel! Unfortunately we didn't pack our swimming cossies, not expecting to find such a luxury. Llandrindod has three supermarkets, and the butcher is well worth a visit for good quality but inexpensive meat. There are also farmers markets in Builth Wells and Kington. On our way home we stopped off at the Owl Centre and Small Breeds Farm Park near Kington - well worth a visit regardless of age, if only because the animals literally eat out of your hands, and mostly enjoy being petted. Will definitely stay at Granary Cottage again, and recommend it to family and friends visiting the area.

“Exclusive hideaway”
Reviewed May 7, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

this was a superb peaceful cottage, beautifully presented with everything you could need. The setting is amazing and the owners very attentive to every detail. The walking in the area is just fantastic with walks for all abilities, all carefully noted in a booklet in the cottage. Though an idiotically rural retreat in the middle of Wales the cottage itself was far from that with excellent facilities, good showers etc and clean and well kept.the icing on the cake were the daily viewings of the Red Kites from the sitting room window.

“Comfortable, peaceful, lovely place to stay”
Reviewed April 12, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Stayed here for a short break just after Easter. We had lovely weather, which always helps, but this little tucked away cottage on a farm is a comfortable and peaceful location from which to explore. The cottage has all that you will need and the hosts are welcoming. A very relaxing place to stay.
