The restaurant is set in the downstairs rooms of a large period house. After being shown to our table it seemed a bit cold, both in temperature and atmosphere but this changed as other diners arrived and the room filled up.

After ordering we experienced an over-long wait of half an hour for our starters and we got to the point where we had to ask how long they might be, as we were getting very hungry by then. Note to owner(s): if guests are experiencing long waits for food you could serve a portion of pizza bread slices or something similar just to take the edge off - it would have made a big difference.

However, once the starters did arrive they were excellent and I loved the deep-fried risotto balls stuffed with mozzarella, porcini, chilli and basil. I'm not sure why they were served in a brown paper bag but they were superb.

My main of Spaghetti con ragu Bolognese with homemade pasta was exceptional and I have never had such a delicious meat in sauce - truly memorable flavours. There were no complaints from our table about the quality of the food.

If I stayed in Fishguard again I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Located on Main Street, with a Mediterranean-ish menu, this restaurant filled the bill for a tasty light dinner after a busy day of travel. The server was attentive and the food arrived promptly.

We had soup, then chicken and steak. The soup was gorgeous, the chicken was very tasty, and the steak done exactly as we asked. Interesting potatoes: sort of Dauphinoise with the chicken; though with the steak, the "thrice-cooked chips" - a bit like refried roast spuds - seemed a bit of an unnecessary complication.

The atmosphere is pleasant and informal. The staff are young and give the impression of enjoying working there. We told them we had a show to get to afterwards, and they made sure we got out in time.

This was our first time. We'll certainly go there again, and will take visitors there.

Disappointing visit. Food was fine but nothing we can't do at home and paying high prices is just not worth it. The staff were polite enough but not very quick and efficient, waiting 10minutes for someone to take our card for payment, whilst you see staff in the glass area eating bread and on their phones isn't what we feel quality service is about. Also worry about cleanliness as a large size of glass (half palm, possible wine glass) was left on the floor by a window.... The staff only had 3 tables to wait on and there were 3 of them. Shame as place has potential.
