Owner description: For that vintage seaside atmosphere of candy floss and donkey rides, set up your deckchair in the section closest to the town. The Blue Flag beach is never overcrowded and also has trampolines, bouncy castle and pirate ship during the Summer. If you want a quieter space for your picnic and to be closer to the sea, then venture further along the one-mile long promenade perhaps using the land train which runs the length of the promenade.

We just love the beach at Barmouth it is so spacious and yet has lovely sand and is ideal for young families. The way it borders the estuary with the mountains behind gives it a sense of drama. If you want lots of activities its not the place for you but if you like space, views and walking this is the place.

Been here many times as a child . Very clean beach , good size . Great for taking the kids as there's snack bars near by and a fair . Out of season its a very relaxing place to take a walk . Just don't go too far out on the beach near the point , tide comes back in fast .

Lovely beach, lots of wind breaks, lots to do for younger families but also nice to have a walk, it's huge so plenty of room for all.

The tide was out when we arrived so we could walk across the sands to the dunes and out along the sea-wall. Lovely views across the Afon Mawddach down to Fairbourne. and LLanwyngwril headland in the distance.

Clean and safe. Plenty to do. Donkeys for the children. It is like stepping back in time.
Really good parking and a small fun fair near to the beach.
RNLI are sometimes on the beach and the station is open for gifts and looking at the boat .
