“Great place with loads of character”
Reviewed June 21, 2013

we were lucky enough to be in Barmouth the first week in June 2013 when the weather was clear skies and 24 degrees! Sat outside this very busy place watching the world go by with a large latte and a truly delicious brie and bacon pannini which came with nice crisps and a large salad. Huge menu, lovely view, friendly staff and reasonable prices.
Would go again.

“Pirate's breakfast”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

Davy Jones Locker is in a great spot with a wonderful view over the often photographed railway bridge that crosses the estuary at Barmouth. I would say it's primarily somewhere to visit on a sunny day so you can sit outside and enjoy a lovely breakfast or brunch. We did just that last Sunday and very nice it was too. Service was quick and friendly and the food was good and reasonable value. It does get quite busy but there are benches nearby so you could sit off and wait for a table if you really wanted to give them a try. The spot where it is located is a bit of a honeypot as it's so pretty and while this is great, there seems to be a tendency for it to be a gathering point for men of a certain age desperately trying to relive their youth by going around in packs on motorbikes they couldn't afford when they were young enough to ride them. Everyone is entitled to enjoy themselves but the showboating can become annoying when you are trying to enjoy your egg on toast and Sunday Times.

“Nice food and service”
Reviewed June 9, 2013

A good breakfast served promptly but a little expensive for what is on offer. There are better value options in Barmouth, However, you cannot fault the food, service, location and the character, it is for you to decide if its price rather than setting that is important

Our third visit to this quayside restaurant ; the food and service were really good with large sized portions and reasonably priced , especially the chilli - concarni. Good milky coffee to finish !!
