We have just left after staying for an Easter break. We had two nights in Sunray and then moved into one of their apartments Wynnstay. The room at Sunray was lovely, well equipped and of high standard with a fab view. Both Lisa and Danny could not do enough for their guests and we will definitely be back. The apartment is high spec, cosy and well worth the extra if like us you want extra space, flexibility and added comfort. BTW the views are even better and we didn't use the tv as the view over the Mawdach estuary and mountains is stunning.

Thank you so much ladies for that wonderful review.
We're so glad you enjoyed your stay (despite the noisy door banging snorer next door)
Look forward to seeing you both again soon :)

my nephew booked a double room, and we stayed a couple of nights,we had a warm welcome, and the owner let us keep our bikes in his garage which was very kind of him.the room was nice and clean, and plenty of tea and coffee and biscuits on display.the beds were very warn and comfortable,we got a very good nights sleep.there was also a tv in the room, but we were out on an evening, pubs were close at hand, also restaurants were also close to the guest house.when i arrived home i noticed my camera was missing,i phoned up the owner to see if i had left it there,he phoned me back to say he had found it and would send it back to me,i received it 2 days later without charging me which was also very kind of him.i wouid like to reccomend this guest house, reason being,we had a enjoyable stay with no issues whatsoever. and also not forgetting the scenery around the guest house, and also, its right near the beach as well.i would definately stay there again.

My husband & I stayed here for the night of our wedding anniversary in May. Initially we made the choice to stay at the Sunray due to them being biker friendly as finding an hotel or guesthouse which provides secure, covered parking for motorbikes is very rare. As the weather was so bad we travelled by train instead. We were a bit later than expected and, due to circumstances, Danny actually came to the car park near the train station to pick us up which was very unexpected but very welcome. It is not far from the station to the Sunray but after quite a long journey it was very appreciated. The room was wonderful, the view amazing & the welcome warm. The style of the Sunray is unique in Barmouth & was another reason why I choose it initially but it is the interior style, comfort & amenities plus the welcome & price which will ensure our return. The placement of the Sunray ensures privacy from traffic & passers-by & easy access to the harbour & a variety of eateries which totally negate the need for an included breakfast.

Room Tip: Our room on the ground floor at the front of the building had its own front door & was probably...

We stayed in the ground floor apartment with the bedroom on the ground and the lounge on the first to gain the fabulous view across the harbour and towards the bridge. These apartments have only just been completed and so look brand new with that nice new smell. We stayed three nights in half term week as my wife works at a School. Barmouth was quiet winding down for the winter but the weather was kind and we had a delight stay.

Room Tip: The top floor apartment would have an even better view

Cannot praise Sunray enough - stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the best accommodation possible. As others have said Danny & Lisa make you so welcome without being intrusive. Views to die for in all directions. Room and bathroom were excellently furnished and so clean, bedding felt brand new and we enjoyed perfect night's sleep as there is no traffic noise or anything else to disturb you. Refreshing change not to have to get up and sit with strangers having breakfast at set times, we just strolled a couple of minutes to ISIS cafe and ate lovely food at a reasonable cost. Thanks for a perfect break.

Thanks for a great review and also for echoing what all our guests are saying about not serving breakfast. Our way the room is cheaper and we can all have a lie in!!

Stayed for 2 nights in October. Great location, right in Barmouth on the sea front within 5 minutes walk of all the restaurants and shops. We stayed in room number 2. Good size with a nice view. Small LCD TV with Freeview. Free WiFi and modern en-suite with good sized shower. Bed is quite 'springy', but we're used to a memory foam mattress, so I can't really give a proper review on that part! The owners were pleasant and helpful.
