Cannot praise Sunray enough - stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the best accommodation possible. As others have said Danny & Lisa make you so welcome without being intrusive. Views to die for in all directions. Room and bathroom were excellently furnished and so clean, bedding felt brand new and we enjoyed perfect night's sleep as there is no traffic noise or anything else to disturb you. Refreshing change not to have to get up and sit with strangers having breakfast at set times, we just strolled a couple of minutes to ISIS cafe and ate lovely food at a reasonable cost. Thanks for a perfect break.

Thanks for a great review and also for echoing what all our guests are saying about not serving breakfast. Our way the room is cheaper and we can all have a lie in!!

Stayed for 2 nights in October. Great location, right in Barmouth on the sea front within 5 minutes walk of all the restaurants and shops. We stayed in room number 2. Good size with a nice view. Small LCD TV with Freeview. Free WiFi and modern en-suite with good sized shower. Bed is quite 'springy', but we're used to a memory foam mattress, so I can't really give a proper review on that part! The owners were pleasant and helpful.

We have stayed here many times now in four different rooms. Please believe us when we say this is the best location in Barmouth with fantastic views. Very clean rooms with a very easy going attitude from Dan and Lisa the owners. No breakfast but not necessary as a choice of three excellent establishments within a minutes walk. Unbeatable value and location 10/10 from us always.

My partner and I stayed at Sunray for three nights as part of our honeymoon following our civil partnership in Belfast and loved the relaxed and welcoming ambience that Danny, Lisa and daughter provided. getting the balance between friendly and over-friendly is difficult but they have cracked it - we both felt that if we needed anything we could ask but otherwise we were left to our own devices.
We stayed in room 3 which has a lovely view of the estuary and the mountains beyond. the view is breathtaking at sunrise as the sun comes up over the mountains. the room is very well equipped, especially given the price we paid and it was lovely sitting in the bay window with the lovely Crittall windows which give the building it's strikingly Art Deco/Modernist feel (how anyone could suggest removing them is beyond me).
The room was spotless and cleaned every day with tea and coffee etc replaced as needed.
i did find the bed a little too hard for me - solid base with a noisy mattress but will concede that I am a heavy chap and my partner slept fine. despite this I would make Sunray top of my list for accommodation in Barmouth aka Costa Del Wolverhampton!!
Thanks Danny et al for a lovely stay.

Thank you so much for an honest and proper review.
Thoroughly enjoyed meeting you both and you summed us up just right:)
Obviously always difficult with mattresses and pillows, we can change the pillows but mattresses are a bit harder to store in our linen cupboard LOL ;):)
Hope to see you both again soon.

any bikers looking for a B&B in Barmouth should enquire here first as Danny and Lisa offer that little bit extra that us tourers are looking for such as a secure double garage for the bike and are understanding of the need to dry off a tone of wet gear should you need it, fortunatly we had good weather when we arrived so no need but bikers are well thought of and wellcomed.
we had a lovely welcome by Danny and Lisa and we were shown to our room which was of a high standard, stpotlessly clean, light and fresh, great en suit shower with instant hot water, plenty of room with tv and coffee/tea making facilities def value for money was more than cofortable and superbe views of the bay! we would recomend the isis pizza place for breakfast as we ate there but there are two others all only 50 yrds away.we hope to return again and stay in the future, phil n lisa

My wife and I stayed here for three nights, we arrived on our motorcycles and Danny was there to meet us. He all ready had the garage door open and the motorcycles were kept in there with room outside for several cars.

The guesthouse truly is in a spectacular position, the views over the bay towards the mountains are wonderful. The beach, shops, pubs and restaurants are all close by, we used the Anchor for our breakfasts but there are many other choices nearby..............we had no complaints about the Anchor though.

It is just a short walk from the train station and we took a trip up the coast which also offers spectacular views (thanks Lisa).

We thought our room was lovely, two chairs to sit and enjoy the great view, very clean, good shower, tea & coffee, fresh towels each day............just what we hoped for.

Danny and Lisa are a friendly couple and both offered us local advice and suggestions about places to visit/things to do which was useful for us, but they are in no way obtrusive.

If we are back in Barmouth we would not look for anywhere else to stay, it would be a waist of time.
