“Worth a try!!”
Reviewed August 9, 2013 via mobile

Recently visited this location for a family evening meal. Place was extremely busy but still had the expected warm welcome by all members of staff. As the restaurant was fully booked the staff did their upmost to locate a table in the bar area for us. Our order was taken swiftly and hassle free and the food arrived in adequate time. Food was tasty and well presented but very disappointed with the portion sizes plus they weren't served as described in the menu. One bowl of chips to share between the group? Salad garnish to share? Wasn't what we expected when ordering our meals with each one being described as including chips and side salad. Also there is a difference with regards to surroundings when dining in the restaurant and dining in the bar. Sadly the price remains the same. Very odd!! On the whole was an enjoyable evening and would recommend this place on the basis of a warm welcome, tasty food, and stunning views. Certainly not value for money!!

“Slow service.. Worth the wait!”
Reviewed July 30, 2013 via mobile

Ate there on Friday 26th July with friends. Table had been booked earlier in the week. Very busy as lovely evening, tables full inside and outside. My first choice of sea bass was no longer available so went with salmon. Starters came promptly... But it was an hour after we had finished them before we got our mains. Portion size good, salad very fresh and tasty. All agreed that the food was excellent.. We all had different mains but the wait was not good.. Staff pleasant but seemed overwhelmed with the number of diners. This said I would return .

“Fantastic food and friendly service!”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

We've been lucky enough to visit flat Rock on a number of occasions. So nice to see the staff that we have got 2 know over the past couple of year, always fantastic service and a warm welcome always awaits. Brilliant food all year round, best fillet you will ever taste, homemade chips and gorgeous home made puddings. Always a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Stunning location to sit outside in the summer and so cozy in front of the fire in the winter. Really looking 4ward 2 the next visit.

“Very Poor Service”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

Lovely views but let down by appalling service at busy times.Insufficient and poorly trained staff. Our young waiter was the worst I have ever had.He did not have a clue, and disappeared after delivering part of our order. The local pub/restaurants offer much better value/service.

“Top quality in all areas!! But still affordable”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

Spur of the moment trip to this wonderful restaurant, not surprised it is so highly rated. Despite being busy the service was quick, polite and sincere. Prices are more than competitive and meal sizes genorous. Particular recommendation to have the taverners chicken which was one of the best meals ive ever had. Dont think twice about coming here, you wont regret it!!!
