We were taken to this lovely restaurant by my aunt who lives nearby. The views are wonderful (it was a sunny day...) and the restaurant, which has a lovely balcony overlooking the sea, was quite busy. We chose to sit indoors and were shown to a very nice table with a sea view.
No starters for us - we wanted to save room for their delicious looking desserts, so we headed straight into our main courses. I had the most amazing prime fillet of Welsh beef, which I have to say was the tastiest steak I can remember eating, perfectly cooked (medium rare). Hubby had Baked fillet of cod with a herb crust with a white wine cream sauce and said it was really tasty. Unfortunately, we were also served with a large bowl of chips to share between the four of us, which were cold, difficult to dish up (there wasn't room on the table to put the bowl down next to my plate and they could not be served with a single hand using the spoon provided, so I ended up tipping them - not very elegant!) and not very tasty.
The desserts did not disappoint! I thoroughly enjoyed my Rhubarb Crumble, served with loads of hot, sweet, perfectly cooked custard.
The wine we chose was also very good, the service was excellent and overall I would recommend this restaurant but beware of the chips!
