They offer a very precisely cooked breakfast in all shapes and sizes. It suspect the veggie breakfast would satisfy those so inclined. The omnivores left well pleased. They don't go in for silly sized servings.

When I watch programmes like Masterchef on TV, and they talk about a good blend of flavours, I never used to know what they meant.

Now I know.

At Cafe Food for Thought, I ordered a veggie burger. It comes with brie, pineapple and relish in the bun (as well as salad and curly fries on the plate). I don't like brie. I generally find pineapple disgusting.

I figured it would be an interesting meal.

It was.

The flavours blended perfectly. The curly fries were cooked to perfection. And the salad dressing was yummy.

My wife had a topped naan bread, which was equally tasty.

Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant and toilets were bright and clean.

We went back a couple hours later for a hot chocolate and a brownie. These were good, but not as amazing as the main course.

Vegans, vegetarians and gluten-free types will find ample choice on the menu.

Excellent choice, including Specials Board. The Cawl was excellent value and a big portion for a starter. The food was fresh and nicely presented.
Wonderful and extencive choice of coffees. Shame my wife couldn't try them all!
Located on the main street, with ample parking on a Sunday.
Will call again when in the area. Diolch.

This is one of the most popular local cafes and serves the best cawl (welsh lamb) soup. It comes with a large slice of welsh cheese and bread from Queen's Bakery (opposite), which is delicious and made in the bakers with flour from the local mill in St Dogmaels. If you get a chance ask for a dash of mint with the soup - whoever thought of that is a genius. Always busy throughout the year and used by locals. Very efficient but friendly service, look out for the quirky coffee cup sign out the front when looking down the high street and you'll find it.
