We came to cardigan bay holiday park for the 4th time and we always have to come here for a meal once or twice .gorgeous food and fantastic views over the sea.i came with my family . mum, dad & nephew.as u can imagine 3 very young children can be quick noisy. After a very rude comment from another visitor.Tom made us feel very much at ease. And we continued to enjoy our meal.will definitely come again next time were in cardigan

Travelling for business normally throughout Asia and staying at normally large chains, its a real surprise when staying at places like this as it's very different. I really enjoyed the hotel and the location whilst is quite away from a lot of things we made it a base for a couple of days and got to visit a few places around Cardigan Bay like Tenby. The hotel has great food and across the road a short walk has you down to the beach. The whole area I found picturesque and vey relaxing. Definitely a place to unwind if your a city person.

The Gwbert Hotel in Cardigan is a beautiful hotel. They have a great building overlooking the bay, car park and are situated only a stones-through from the beach.

The building is seemingly immaculate with a nice reception, games room and large bar and restaurant. My room was of a good size and had a very nice bathroom with a shower. Both windows looked out across the bay which was very nice.

I ate in the restaurant in the evening which was a very pleasant surprise. The menu isn't basic and the food was better than I could have imagined. I experienced very quick service and nothing was wrong with any of the food the 9 of us ordered.

I would highly recommend this hotel.

We booked room 18, a family room, were told on the telephone it over looked the sea. NOT TRUE.|It over looked the busy car park and other bits and pieces.. The room was very hot, so we opened the window, got a drumming sound from the coolers. The staff on reception did offer to see if we could move to their sister hotel but we would have had to pay extra when we were already paying £120, so we stayed put. My mum used to own the Anchor hotel which was originally part of this now larger renamed hotel so I wanted to sea the sea again from the bedroom.!! The dresseer was very badly stained.
The fan was broken in parts but we got it going and used it all night due to the heat. It was noisy so sleeping was not easy. There was a mild smell of urine in this room we wondered if it came from the vent for the mens toilets that were underneath us. . The double mattress is really in poor condition you can feel the springs. The wardrobe mirrors around the handle were many fingerprints, also only three very cheap wire hangers in the wardrobe for all of us. There was no visible socket for a hair dryer, but discovered it was an extention plug for a few appliances, under the single bed...very poor to have to get down on the floor to plug in. You only had a gap of about 14 inches to pass to the bathroom and you hit your knee on the sharp corner of the pine bed. This was mentioned to reception to rearrange the bedroom to avoid injury. The furniture in public areas was very worn and damaged. Our bathroom was clean but silicone coming away from the shower tray and dirt in the runners on the outside. This may seem like one big complaint but we stay often in hotels same price and a little bit less cost and this was not up to any of their standards. We had to wait for a parking place in car park in the evening as the Bistro in this hotel caters for non residents, then you can not get a space in the full car park. On a plus note the cooked breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly. No one on the reception in the evenings, but did find the helpful owner eventually when we needed help. I really would not stay here again their family room No.18 was not up the standard I would expect but may be the other rooms are better as The Gwbert Hotel has some good reviews here. 28/5/2014

Room Tip: Do not ask for family room 18 very noisy and smelly from outside vents, coolers and car park.

We went, as afamily to this wonderful hotel for an evening meal. We had not booked and just took our chances and walkd in. The place was heaving and was completely full. A young gentleman came up to us , welcomed us and said a table would be available in about 15 minutes if we wanted to wait. We did just that, got a drink from the bar and the chap came back with a menu for us to look at. Five minutes later, he came back and took our order. Five minutes later we were shown to a table and our starters were there waiting for us. Absolutely brilliant service. The waiting staff asked if everything was alright even though they were clearly overworked. A brilliant place. So pleased, we have booked to stay May Bank Holiday weekend in a suite. Recommend this place 100% for service alone!

Room Tip: Ask for a suite overlooking the estuary. Beautiful views

We stayed in a suite, room 20, which had brilliant views over Cardigan Bay. The weather was incredibly windy which made it a little difficult to sleep as the wind noise was unbelievable.
The bath in the room was unused by us, but some might like to use it, it looks as if two could fit in at a squeeze! There is an excellent shower in the en suite.
The restaurant food was very good and the breakfast cooked to order, always very nice.
We would come back without question.

Room Tip: Sea view is a must.
