Recently returned from the Gwbert following a 2 night deal. My wife and I upgraded to a suite (extra £40) and we took my mum who had a double room with a sea view. Weather great on first day, mixed on Day 2 and some snow on way home! Our suite was excellent apart from a dusty wardrobe top and out of date milk sachets. Trivial stuff but prevented me giving the hotel a 5 star rating. Location brilliant - must be even better once Spring sets in. Food was really good on both nights but as a veggie I was disappointed that there was no separate veggie breakfast menu - yes you could have beans, tomato, egg (which I don't eat) and mushrooms but nice to have sausage/hash browns etc.

Staff all very friendly and helpful, particularly in the restaurant.

I would have no hesitation in returning with rest of family next year as there are loads of activities particularly for younger children nearby. Great coastline to explore.

Room Tip: Suite 20 was excellent - spacious and sea view; also room 4 with a sea view

Stopped at the Gwbert Hotel on a KGB Deal, over the weekend of 22nd-24th November.Got lucky with the weather and because we had paid the extra £10 per night for the incredible sea view it was rather beautiful. The room was fine, rather on the small side though. The bathroom was very modern and had a bath and a shower cubicle.BUT as good as the shower looked it was very tight for room once you were in it.You try washing your hair in it!!We ate in the Hotel on both evenings and the food is outstanding.Worth the trip if only for the extensive menu choice and the quality of the food.Breakfasts were equally as superb.Nice friendly people at all times. If you are being picky and are illergic to DOGS,then this is not the place for you,as this hotel does allow dogs to stay. Our room was next to a couple who had a yapping Terrier. This was only a problem when the couple decided to leave the dog in the room on its own!! - Not ideal really.BUT if dogs do not bother you, then this Hotel is a perfect setting for you.Not overly large, with only around 20 rooms and quite a small public lounge area. The big thing that gets the guests back is obviously the restaurant. If the chance came again, and I'm sure it will,I would not hesitate to go back there.I have stopped over the road at the Cliffs Hotel many times, and although it is much larger and as a better choice of leisure facilities, the food does not compare with the Gwbert. So if its about the quality of the food that grabs you, then the Gwbert is the hotel for you,as i cant strongly recommend it enough. - ENJOY!!!

Room Tip: Pay the extra £10 for the sea view it really is breathtaking.Try and get room 20 or room 3,as they h...

We called in there with a coach party of mostly elderly people, the food was very good compared to some places we have visited with this particular group. We tried to book in for a nights stay on New Year's Eve but unfortunately it was fully booked, showing how popular it is. We hope to visit again very soon.

Just returned from a two night stay, room was brilliant clean and spacious, wonderful location, the restuarant food was excellent and the staff very helpful, could not have asked for more, bonus was the sauna and jacuzzi. All in all a very relaxing stay. Would definately stay again when visiting the area.

Just returned from our two night break at this hotel. We've eaten here many times in the last few years as we own one of the chalets at Penlan Holiday Village. We took the opportunity of staying here in order to close up our chalet for the winter.

Dinner was included the first night and we opted to eat here the second night as well. Both meals were delicious and portions were ample. I recommend the sweet potato chips!

Breakfast is cooked to order and again portions are big. Our room overlooked the side of the hotel giving us a beautiful view of Cardigan Island. The room was clean, warm and well equipped.

We will definitely be eating here again and recommend the hotel to our friends.

We've just returned from a 2-night break at the Gwbert Hotel. After buying the break to include dinner on the first night for £99 from Amazon, we didn't expect magnificence.
Our room (rm 6) was a decent size, had a good sized bathroom and had a 'side' sea-view. It was clean and comfortable, with everything we could have needed for our mini-break.
The staff were the most friendly and helpful we have ever met; nothing was too much trouble.
The food was of good quality and certainly plentiful!! I doubt we'll need to eat again after the monster sized breakfast!!
If you get a chance, take a walk over to Mwnt. It's about 7.5 miles round trip, but well worth it.

We'd definitely stay here again if we were in the area. Highly recommend a stay at Gwbert!!!

My second visit to this hotel and both experiences were excellent. The position is superb with great views across the bay. The rooms are comfortable and great value. The bar area is great, good choice of beers and wines and finally the restaurant is fantastic, great food.
