“Lovely Cottage”
Reviewed May 31, 2016 for a stay in October 2015

We stayed at this cottage in October 2015 and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.
The cottage is very well appointed, thought out and spacious, with every possible item provided.
Heating system is great plus added benefits of fireplace...and washing and drying facilities etc.
Whilst the location is remote, the setting is beautiful, stunning views, with lovely coastal and hillside walks - plus you are only five minutes from a very nice local pub.
Very helpful owner who made the entire experience extremely straightforward and hassle free.
We will definitely return in 2016.

Just home after a week staying at the beautiful Burnside Cottage. Waternish in Skye.
The cottage itself was spotless and every thought had gone into what you need on a holiday.including a bread maker as you are some way from the local shops.
This cottage is dog friendly and there are some amazing walks just behind the cottage.
The nearest restaurants are only 5 minutes by car or on a lovely night a great walk taking in the amazing views. The weather was mixed but did not dampen our spirits.
Cottage cosy and welcoming when you got back after a hard days sightseeing. We will be back. Brilliant

“Fantastic cottage on a beautiful island”
Reviewed June 18, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Spent an amazing 6 days on the beautiful island of Skye. Weather not so good but didn't dampen our spirits.
Cottage lovely with amazing views from every window and every need meet.
All basics that you need were there.
Cottage spotless and cosy.
Recommend Scorrybreac in Portree for an amazing meal as well as The Three Chimneys but need to book all restaurants as all very busy.
Lovely local walks with dogs close bye.
Lovely walk behind church next door to cottage.
We will definitely be back. Loved it .

“A gem of a cottage on a gem of an island”
Reviewed June 16, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

The cottage is well equipped, very cosy and is in a beautiful setting.
We had a week of good weather and spent our time visiting places that I last visited 50 years ago.
Sara was very helpful and gave us a lot of local information before our visit which was very helpful.

“A great cottage in a stunning area.”
Reviewed May 31, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We have just returned from a week at Burnside Cottage. The pictures on line do not do it justice as it is like the tardis inside. Loads of well thought out space. Excellent facilities and comfy sofas and beds. Our boy enjoyed the bank beds most of all. There's nothing you need to take as it is all provided. Had some great walks and toured a good percentage of the island. Highly recommended the Edinbain Inn, The best Fish & Chips ever. The bakey in Dunvegan is a must visit. The freshest bread that real taste home made and cakes to die for. We hope to be back next year fora couple of visits

“Peace and comfort”
Reviewed May 26, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We spent a very peaceful week on Skye with our two collies. Burnside Cottage was fantastic, comfortable, clean and very well equipped. There was nothing you could need that they didn't provide. The location was lovely and there were great places to walk all around.
We would definitely stay here again.
When the calor gas ran out, when we were preparing dinner one evening, the 'housekeeper' was there within minutes to sort it out. Great service.

“Perfect”
Reviewed May 20, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

My husband and I went to Burnside Cottage in early May along with my daughter and her labrador Timmy, to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday. We had a wonderful relaxing time and were so comfortable and cosy. The kitchen is superb with everything you could possibly need in it. I was delighted at being able to hang my washing out on the clothes line, lovely to smell everything so fresh. Internet access was excellent, with three of us using iPads at the same time. The recycling was a challenge but it certainly made us rethink where to put things! It was a pleasure for my daughter and I to cook as it really was like being at home. We did not eat out due to my husband's health, but still had fun. Even though it bucketed one day solid, Skye still looked wonderful. The sunsets are amazing and the whole island is stunningly beautiful. We toured around and enjoyed every place we visited.
To sum up, it was a great decision to stay at Burnside, definitely worth every penny. I would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to get away from it all and relax.
