Our arrival at Taylor Hill was a perfect welcome to the Isle of Harris. Shona served us homemade pancakes & shortbread with our tea, and had made reservations ahead, at our request, for dinner at a wonderful seafood restaurant which was a nice walk to the harbor from Taylor Hill. Our room in this lovely new home was comfortable and sparkling, and breakfast was wonderful. Shona was able to give us great ideas and directions to visit some local weavers of Harris Tweed at their studios. Wish our visit could have been longer!

On a mixed business and pleasure visit to the Western Isles and St KIlda we stayed for 2 nights and found the accommodation very clean and comprehensive. Our hosts could not hav ebeen more pleasant and helpful and if you are visiting the area I would absolutely recommend a stay here. Oh and if you enjoy a good Scottish breakfast and would like the opportunity to purchase home made Harris Tweed socks and scarves then this is the place.

Lovely clean comfortable rooms with a nice lounge and a great welcome. Breakfast is cracking and hospitality goes as far as offering a lift into the village in the evening so you can have a glass of wine with your meal and leave the car. Owners Shona and Chris have a wealth of local knowledge and can advise you on all aspects of the islands to help you enjoy your stay. I'll certainly go back again.

Very friendly and welcoming and good food on offer too. Definitely one of the best I have stayed at in recent years.

We stayed 3 nights at Taylor Hill B&B. It had opened for business only 3 weeks before we arrived. Shona grew up helping her mother run another B&B in the same town and is an expert at it; she is a delightful host. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was great, especially the homemade oat cakes. We enthusiastically recommend it.
