“Okay Overview, Excellent Dram”
Reviewed July 2, 2012

We didn't take a full tour and may well have enjoyed this more if we had. The display museum is very basic, and really very informative. The tasting, however, was exceptional, and the instruction on how to get the most from a dram along with it.

For our part, we had committed to only brief stop and for this we had an enjoyable time. If you are making this a principal destination on a day's tour, consider timing for the full distillery tour -- this will, no doubt, make the experience all the richer.

“Great distillery, even better single malt!”
Reviewed June 28, 2012

Wanted to visit a distillery during my visit to the highlands & after sampling the 12 year old singleton of Glen Ord knew it had to be this one. Was unable to do the full tour as no under 8s allowed & I was with my 19mth old son. The exhibition was very gd tho & still includes a tasting. Would definitely recommend.

“fun tour”

Nice informative tour of the distillery, capped off with a wee dram. The bar was being painted, so we missed out on that, but otherwise, quite pleasant! We bought a bottle to take home.

“Excellent Whisky Tour”
Reviewed June 13, 2012

The Glen Ord distillery tour was very interesting and tour guide was wonderful and definitely knew her stuff, explaining the process in a succinct and easy to understand way with some humor splashed in too. Got to go inside the functioning distillery and inhale the malt and yeast and see it in the mash tubs at various stages of processing. The samples at the end of the tour were nice and we were able to sample several of the other whiskeys (in addition to the Singleton which is produced at this distillery) in the Diageo group at no additional charge. Staff were all very pleasant, bathrooms were spotlessly clean.

“Very Authentic Tour”
Reviewed June 5, 2012

The Glen Ord Distillery offered up a very authentic tour. We were able to get right up to the mash tubs to get a good whiff of malt and yeast. A very nice environment. This is definitely a functioning distillery and not a fake "Experience". The staff also recommended the The Priory Hotel in nearby Beauly which was also very nice.
