I would not stay anywhere else now in Ullapool. The hotel has 3 private parking spaces on the front and the owners are very flexible as to when you arrive. They welcomed my son and I who were on a motorcycle tour and gave us a great room overlooking the pier. The Ceilidh Place is just up from the hotel on the next inland street as is great for food. Breakfast was great and the place is so clean and decor is well thought out.

Room Tip: Front rooms have a great view.

This is a top class Bed and Breakfast. Beautiful views over Loch Broom, very tasteful rooms which are fresh and clean. The breakfast was excellent and the hosts could not have been more helpful.

Highly recommended.

Fiona and Donny are running this cosy house. Our room upstairs was really nice with a good view on Loch Broom.

Fiona's attention to detail and the little comforts that made the room special. Breakfast was very good, fresh fruit with the yoghurt was provided. The porridge was very tasteful and there also was cheese on the buffet. We decided to stay a night longer as the Waterside is really worth it.

Fiona also made up the rooms every day.

Overall this was an excellent finding on our Scottland tour.

A fabulous traditional house located right on the foreshore of beautiful Loch broom in Ullapool. The location is perfect! Donnie & Fiona are very welcoming and friendly without being over-bearing. Private parking is right outside the front door. The rooms all have fantastic views out over the beach and loch (see photograph). The room was very tastefully decorated and well equipped to modern standards. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was superb! We chose from a great selection of cooked items and helped ourselves to cereal and fruit.
A great place to stay. Highly recommended!

What a great room with a view out over Loch Broom and the comings and goings at the ferry port. Nicely decorated, clean and cosy. A warm welcome and a great hearty breakfast. We can thoroughly recommend Waterside.
