“Wonderful, refreshing, peacefully replenishing. Loved being there!”
Reviewed December 20, 2016 for a stay in July 2015

We stayed as a family group in the traditional comfortable lodge. The fact there was no TV, mobile or wifi was a bonus and our early teens became human again. Plenty to do walking, cycling, fishing (we brought rods), badminton, swimming or just plain relaxing. Our hosts were great and lovely to chat with, warm, welcoming and helpful with information. Their knowledge of the area is great. My daughter and I enjoyed "helping" Iona and Julian on their farm. We could easily have stayed on another two weeks. We explored further afield too and barely scratched the surface of what there is to explore. Beautiful part of our country.

“Stunning Location, amazing hosts, no Wifi/Mobile signal, what more do you need !!”
Reviewed September 5, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

When we booked Rhidorroch Lodge as a group of 9 we really didn't know what to expect, but all I can say that it's the best holiday we've had by far! Stunning location, miles from anywhere, no wifi or mobile signal so you really get to benefit from a "digital detox" ! The 5 kids were never bored all week, swimming in the river, hiking in the hills and having loads of fun with the dogs, sheep and not forgetting the unicorn! Iona and Julien made us feel so welcome and we've taken away some very special memories (including the mandolin/guitar session accompanied with fine single malt!) We will definitely return again in the near future!

All the best

Will

“a pure extraordinary experience”
Reviewed March 8, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

The house is away from any civilisation, which made this stay so spectacular. To be living in the middle of nowhere, generating own electricity from the water dam up the hill, watching deer and waterfalls, was a once in a life time experience. We got to see Rhidorroch in the snow and blue skies, it was spectacular. Bring hiking wear to see more of the estate and be lead by Iona and Julien, who are great hosts with great knowledge about life in the wilderness.

Unfortunately, the storms in January ripped several trees out of its sockets and has damaged some parts of the estate, we helped the owners for a couple of days to clean up the outside grounds.
