“Amazing location and fantastic service!”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

Me and my partner stayed here for one night, on the last leg of our tour round Scotland. Upon arrival, we were welcomed and shown to our room. We stayed in a large double room with en suite, which had a single room joined to it. All rooms were very modern and very clean with a perfect finish! The bed was extremely comfortable as well!

The room overlooked Loch Broom - which gave a fantastic view when the sun was shining. The location was within walking distance of the town however, remember to wear reflective or light clothing if you decide to walk back in the dark, as their is no path!!!

We would definitely recommend this to our friends and family, if they were to visit Ullapool!

Thanks for a lovely stay!
Louise and Andy.

Unfortunately we were only there for one night. We travelled all over Scotland, England & Wales and Ardlair was by far the best B&B we stayed at. Our host was very friendly and accommodating, and our room was beautiful overlooking the water. It was a very spacious room with beautiful décor, and a very comfortable bed. Our breakfast (full Scottish) was delicious and nothing was too hard for Ayesha to do. After all of our travels, I can't recommend this B&B highly enough, and if we are ever back in the area again, we would definitely stay at Ardlair.

Room Tip: Front room with water views

Our room had a brilliant view over Loch Broom and of Ullapool over there to the left; it was great fun to see the ferry that had just brought us in from Stornoway steaming back out again a few minutes after getting in.

Room was modern, beautifully decorated, spotless, and faultless, with lovely touches like a decent sized TV, a pair of binoculars, and a dram of whisky. Perfect!

Excellent location about a mile outside and up the hill from Ullapool, and away from the hustle and bustle, but still an easy hop into town for an evening meal and a drink.

Lovely stay, and I would strongly recommend Ardlair

Ardlair sets the standard for B&B's & hotels alike. The family room has an ensuite bathroom & ensuite kids room - brilliant. The view over the Loch is exceptional, day or night, all weathers - we had sunshine, wind & heavy rain! The location was ideal for our mini tour of Scotland. Overall, friendly, clean, great breakfasts & all with a high quality feel. Would defintely stay again.

Second time I have stayed here.
I am delighted that the standards have been maintained.
Our room was of a good size and very comfortable. Nice little touches, like the welcoming dram of whiskey and the binoculars next to the window are signs of the attention to detail that has gone into setting up this B&B.
The view from the window over Loch Broom was breathtaking. The breakfast was well presented and delicious. We took slices of Ayesha's cake with us. They were lovely, especially the lemon cake.

Friendly, spotless, great location, and with those little extra touches that make a stay memorable. This was one of the best-run B&Bs we have ever encountered, and we would not hesitate to recommend it to other travellers

Having stayed at Ardlair above Ullapool on 3 separate occasions during this year I can only repeat what other reviewers have said......the accommodation, welcome and breakfasts are excellent. Great care has been taken to ensure a consistently high standard in all respects.
