Second time I have stayed here.
I am delighted that the standards have been maintained.
Our room was of a good size and very comfortable. Nice little touches, like the welcoming dram of whiskey and the binoculars next to the window are signs of the attention to detail that has gone into setting up this B&B.
The view from the window over Loch Broom was breathtaking. The breakfast was well presented and delicious. We took slices of Ayesha's cake with us. They were lovely, especially the lemon cake.

Friendly, spotless, great location, and with those little extra touches that make a stay memorable. This was one of the best-run B&Bs we have ever encountered, and we would not hesitate to recommend it to other travellers

Having stayed at Ardlair above Ullapool on 3 separate occasions during this year I can only repeat what other reviewers have said......the accommodation, welcome and breakfasts are excellent. Great care has been taken to ensure a consistently high standard in all respects.

We stayed for two nights in the family room. It was immaculate, spotless, and very spacious. The house is situated just outside the town, with incredible views across the Loch. The breakfasts were delicious - all the usual cooked options, plus veggie alternatives, fresh fruit, and smoked salmon with scrambled eggs (which my husband raved about!). The home-made shortbread, banana bread and Scotch pancakes were all gorgeous. Ayesha, the owner, made us very welcome, and was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area (places to visit, restaurants, etc.). We would definitely stay again.

Excellent and fantastic view on the Broom loch. We had 2 rooms, both with nice colors decoration, very clean and convenient. Good breakfast with various menus. We appreciated the advise for a short trek on the Stac Pollaidh mountain, the lady helped us to find the right way. We definitively recommand this B&B.

A 5 minute drive from Ullapool, Ardlair is ideally situated on a rural hill side above the highway and has a great view over Loch Broom. It is modern, clean, bright and breakfast was terrific, especially the croissants, the banana bread and the coffee. Ayesha is a very energetic and well informed host (where to eat, hike, etc.) We enjoyed our complimentary wee dram each of the three evenings that we were there.

The uniformly excellent reviews garnered by Ardlair prompted us to book into the family room for two nights. It did not disappoint: it is beautifully located, exceptionally clean and comfortable, and hosted by the charming and very helpful Ayesha.

The family room is rather more than just that, consisting of a large, picture-windowed double room containing a separate, airy and naturally lit second room. The view from high above Loch Broom is spectacular and fascinating as various boats, including the Stornoway Ferry, chug out to the Minch. Binoculars are thoughtfully provided to glass the various maritime comings and goings. Other nice touches include a fine tea/coffee/refreshment and even a wee dram.

The breakfast is excellent, particularly the scrambled egg and salmon option.

My wife, something of an omelette aficionado, found her breakfast choice delicious.

No hesitation in recommending Ardlair. It really is superb.

Room Tip: The family room, essentially two rooms, is ideal.
