Celebrating an anniversary we got a table for dinner in the small dining room. Place was full it can do 30 covers. Venison main course lovely, sole was good, chicken was dry. We were in at 7 and after the main we're advised there was only one dessert left. Well is that optimism or pessimism..who knows. Anyway bit pricey for average meal

Stopped here for lunch and were well-rewarded with a huge plate of Loch Broom langoustines and crisp chips. Service was attentive and cheerful, and it was a real treat to be able to sit with the windows onto the sea-front wide open without freezing!

We had spent a week in the very beautiful, but very-difficult-to-be-in-the-right-place-at-the-right time-to-eat Outer Hebrides. Caught the CalMac ferry from Stornaway to Ullapool on a Sunday morning, pitched our tent at the camp site in the town, and were DELIGHTED to find places that were not only open, but happy to see us! The staff were very good, we really enjoyed the food, and best of all when we'd finished eating we stepped next door into the bar and had the best night of our holiday. Many thanks to the brilliant bar staff!

We thought this would be a little "fancier" for dinner, the room and menu gave the impression it would be better than the pub scene. The food (I had fish) was quite all right, but the service was lacking, it seemed that they were completely overwhelmed when the place filled up even though there aren't that many tables. The prices reflected the fancy aspect, but unfortunately the overall experience left us wanting.
