We had spent a week in the very beautiful, but very-difficult-to-be-in-the-right-place-at-the-right time-to-eat Outer Hebrides. Caught the CalMac ferry from Stornaway to Ullapool on a Sunday morning, pitched our tent at the camp site in the town, and were DELIGHTED to find places that were not only open, but happy to see us! The staff were very good, we really enjoyed the food, and best of all when we'd finished eating we stepped next door into the bar and had the best night of our holiday. Many thanks to the brilliant bar staff!

We thought this would be a little "fancier" for dinner, the room and menu gave the impression it would be better than the pub scene. The food (I had fish) was quite all right, but the service was lacking, it seemed that they were completely overwhelmed when the place filled up even though there aren't that many tables. The prices reflected the fancy aspect, but unfortunately the overall experience left us wanting.

There are 2 sofas in the pub where you can just lie down and have some beer, or whisky, or a mix of them. Beautiful view on the harbour from there.
Please be aware that the so called 'moules marinieres' are not 'marinieres' at all, but are 'a la creme'. This said, they are very good...

We ate here on June 14th and would definitely recommend it. The hard working staff were consistently polite and helpful. The food was generous and good, but the seasoning was a bit inconsistent with the meat dish overly peppery and the fish dish under-seasoned. Overall, though, a really nice evening.

This is a smallish pub with a few rooms. The restaurant seats about 18 people but you can also eat from the same menu in the bar. The kitchen is open so you can see what takes place and the fresh sea food was really good. An innovative menu offering a fairly small but delicious choice. A well stocked bar (not just whisky) and very friendly chatty staff. All round a very good choice.
