We stayed for a two night break. Nice comfortable room and bed although a headboard would have helped! Staff were really friendly and the food was excellent - the full Scottish breakfast was huge!! We ate there both nights and couldn't fault the food or service. Nice cozy bar for an after dinner drink too.

Stayed here overnight with our son, who was looking at Edinburgh University, and stayed in the suite at the top of the hotel. There was quite a lot of noise from the street outside and double glazing would help enormously, and one of the beds in the twin room was very saggy, the other was fine. However, the place looked nice from the outside and the welcome was good and the manager very helpful, with good tips for getting into Edinburgh (you were right, the train from the Park & Ride was great!). Restaurant and bar area are very modern and the Scottish cooked breakfast was fantastic - no other food required till tea!

Couple break for two nights. Cosy, comfortable room with every amenity required, tv, tea making facilities, very comfortable bed, good lighting for reading, lots of hot water for shower, warm bathroom. Lots of extra bedding had we needed it. Corridors and passages well carpeted and very soundproof. Hotel food very good both for evening meal, breakfast and lunchtime snacks. Staff in particular were very friendly - reception, bar and dining. Street parking a bit restricted but good parking at rear. Sheltered large beer garden with comfortable seating. Large lounge upstairs for guests with lots of reading material, games etc. Can't wait to return.

To celebrate our ruby wedding our family joined us for dinner at the golf in August this year. Excellent food - they printed a special menu for us and the service was excellent. Craig , son in law has said the same. Will go back again.
