The Old Sunday School is situated in the tiny hamlet of Buittle just over two miles from Castle Douglas.
Once used as a Sunday School for the Church just a short walk away along the lane at the end of the drive.
The accommodation is warm and comfortable with plenty of space. A large, well equipped kitchen/diner is to the left off the entrance hall which also gives access to a downstairs bathroom, and also has storage for boots and shoes as well as somewhere to hang any wet coats etc. though fortunately for us, the weather was very kind being mostly sunny and dry during our visit.
From the kitchen/diner, a spiral staircase leads to the upstairs sitting room where there are comfortable sofas and armchairs arranged around a large coffee table.
There is a small (by modern standards) television complete with a DVD player and a selection of DVD's and a number of books and magazines with plenty of information on local attractions.
There are two bedrooms, one double, and one twin plus another shower room with w/c and a decent hand basin.
All is decorated simply to a good standard.
