My daughter & I spent the most wonderful week at Nutkin cottage everything we could have wanted. Peace and quiet but easy to reach shopping facilities. It was 4 star comfort and. Helped us both to unwind and distress. The cake and bread from Jennie were a welcome bonus We hope to return in future

A short stroll takes you into the Kirroughtree forest and Visitor centre with lots of walks
I highly recommend this place to all wanting a warm welcome and nothing is to much trouble from Jennie and Vince
I spent an amazing 3 days at Nutkin Cottage, with my wife and our Schnoodle Ted.
We were greeted on arrival with home made bread and cake which was greatly appreciated. The cottage was well equipped and cosey, being on the fringes of the Galloway Forest the wildlife was outstanding. The bird table in the garden was a constant source of amusement with an amazing assortment of visitors, Gold Finches and a Nuthatch to name but a few. We were also lucky enough to have a visit from a Red Squirrel which was posing for my camera. For all you mountain bikers out there, from the door step you can tackle the Kirroughtree trails and also Cairnsmore of Fleet is well worth it for the descent. Out and about I can reccommend the Red Deer Park near New Galloway is well worth a visit, take some carrots or apples. The wild goats also put in an appearance on the way there, and all for free. So all in all a fantastic short break. P.S. Ted loved his walks.
Wonderful cottage in a stunning setting.
Very welcoming and accommodating, Jennie and Vince thought of everything to make out stay perfect.
Lots of wildlife to see including red squirrels.
Dark sky area- fantastic!
Lots to do for everyone. Brilliant break away.
