East Cottage, Hendersyde Farm Cottages. Superb location, fabulous views, great warm, cosy, comfortable cottage. Spent Christmas 2017 & New Year 2018 there with the added bonus of a lovely Christmas tree! Sue was truly remarkable, attentive, patient, and extremely responsive! Fabulous stay, a real hidden gem, an experience to be repeated.
Our 5th stay at Hendersyde and this time in East Cottage and as ever we arrived to a warm welcome from Sue and in the sunshine! Again the cottage and location were all that anyone needed for a comfortable relaxing stay. The cottage/s are a short distance from the attractive town of Kelso with so many interesting places to visit nearby. If you have not been you should give it a try. The wife and I love It. Sue is a star. Five at least!!!!
Our 4th stay at West Cottage, lovely 2 bed cottage in a row of three, but enclosed enough that you do not notice the other occupants. Warm welcome from owner Sue, inc eggs, fresh flowers and cakes, she is also a great source of local info and advice. We love the cottage as its dog friendly, enclosed garden, plenty of walks around the farm, and on estates and parks nearby. Shops including big Sainsbury's 5 mins away by car, Florres Castle cafe shop is great for frozen meals from the castle chef.
Cottage has good wi fi connection, coal fire for the cold nights - we did'nt need it, and a well equipped kitchen. Recently decorated and always clean and tidy.
We have already booked two weeks next year.
With the distraction of a family wedding, we needed the comfort that would only come from " a home from home." Millsyde was certainly that being fully equipped - and the familiarity of opening a drawer to find what you were looking for. What elevated further was that Sue ( the owner) weighs up just how much input you need from her to make it a super break. First class and would recommend to anyone.
Fourth stay at Hendersyde cottages, all of them, and always found them clean, well equipped comfortable and quiet. Located a short distance from Kelso and with access to so mant lovely places in the Boarders. O! and Sue our host was second to non
This was our second stay at this time of the year and it was as good as the first. A lovely warm welcome by Sue, with some tasty goodies waiting on the table. A match to start the coal fire and we were settled in with a cuppa at the beginning of out 10 day stay over Christmas. We enjoyed a trip to Edinburgh on the new Border railway from Tweedbank. Overall a wet holiday but we were very snug in the East cottage, lots of books, games, DVDs, plenty of hot water and good central heating. Next time we hope to stay during the summer and I would recommend this cottage for people who want to enjoy a stay in the Scottish Borders

This was our second visit, it was just as good as the first! The Christmas cake on arrival was tasty, it immediately puts you on holiday mode! Also there were a couple of personal touches by Sue which was above and beyond, even a bowl of treats for our dog. A very pleasant stay.
