Every time my wife and I dine at Oscars, we are never dissapointed. Ate there last night, and as ususal, great food. A haddock crumble to die for followed by The duck special, then the desert... Bread n Butter Pudding - Made using Selkirk Bannock!! LUSH!!! Two 3 course meals, plus 3 pints and a couple of juices, £63.00 thats really worth it.... and not expensive either. A very welcoming team too.!

Many thanks for your kind words. We are soon to begin our 12th year in business here in Kelso and customer feedback is as important as it was in 2002. We hope to see you again soon.

We ate in Oscars on a Friday night, on our way back from half term holiday. Children had a table to themselves, and we sat on another one. Children were so well treated, as were we. Great atmosphere, very relaxed. Menu was fantastic; we had the steaks - best meat I've had in Scotland - and far too much wine, but it didn't matter because we could walk back because its in the centre of town. There is even an art gallery in the basement to have a wander around. We will be back.

Ate there on Saturday night. Hadn't booked but it wasn't a problem. Very relaxed and good veggie options! Thanks, Michelle & Tim

Good food, good choice and varied specials. Wine and drinks are not overpriced and served in a nice bistro atmosphere, with a small art gallery of local works downstairs...

Don't be misled by this review, the only (and I mean only) reason for a four instead of a five is that they don't serve real ale.

Closed Tuesday nights, but the other nights they take orders up until 10pm if you are a late eater....
