“A perfect little haven at Loch Linnhe with lovely hosts.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2013

Craiglinnhe is our favourite place to stay in all of Scotland. My fiancée and I stayed here four years ago and we knew we'd be back one day as it's just delightful (it's just a shame it took as long as four years!). The location is beautiful with expansive views of Loch Linnhe. The house is very cosy, plushly furnished and offers all manner of home comforts like DVD's, books and (a great new addition on this visit) a healthy stash of very reasonably priced single malts. WiFi is available free of charge and was very handy for us. It really is like a home from home.
Beverly and Dave are lovely hosts. They are very helpful when it comes to recommending local walks and eateries, and their breakfasts are legendary! Perfect sustenance for keen walkers. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone considering staying here, it's just lovely!

Lovely b&b on the banks of charming Loch Linnhe. We were well looked after and the breakfasts simply wonderful - we filled in a form the night before and everything was ready when we came down in the morning. Great spacious rooms and nice to have a selection of books/ maps/ DVDs to borrow.

Good location for walking in glencoe and also Ben/ Glen Nevis. Only thing to look out for is it's a blind corner turning out onto the road from the steep b&b drive. Lovely seafood restaurant The Hooly Tree is walking distance.

We really enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: Try and get a loch facing room!

Scotland provides the scenery and Craiglinnhe the homely comfort after a day's walking. Bev and Dave are most welcoming and helpful. Its a real home from home, with a fantastic view of the loch to wake up to.

My second stay at Craiglinnhe house. This time in Autumn-end of September- amazing hourly changing skies and weather. Bev and Dave were just as delightful, warm and welcoming as last time. Best breakfasts ever-scrambled egg and smoked salmon-brilliant recommendations about walking, dining out and climbing. Wonderful room with an amazing view of Loch Linnhe. A completely restful and refreshing break. Felt had been away for a week instead of a week end! Can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Room overlooking the Loch.

This was our third stay at Craiglinnhe - and we have been visiting the area for many years. The house is lovely, very comfortable and well appointed. Bev and David are great hosts, knowledgable and helpful but not intrusive at all. David makes the best scrambled egg we have ever tasted! We stayed in for an evening meal for the first time on this trip and we enjoyed a very nice meal. I would recommend Room 1 - the view is incredible.

Room Tip: Superior Room 1

We stayed for 2 nights - Beverley was a friendly and helpful host, suggesting a range of places to eat, and even booking a table for us. The room (standard room) was a bit smaller than some of the other B&Bs we stayed in, but clean, well appointed and perfectly adequate. This is a lovely house, with a very pleasant lounge, and a great walk along the loch just outside the front door. Beverley said she had seen otters while walking the dog - we weren't so lucky, but in just two days it was asking a lot! We'd certainly stay here again.

We stayed at Craiglinnhe House in May. Our room had a nice view of the Loch, was clean and comfy. The bathroom wasn't very big and could do with a little refurbishment. The hosts are wonderful and will point you towards the nice walks and good restaurants. Breakfast was very good and the view from the breakfastroom over the loch is great. A great place to stay when discovering the area!
