Stayed here for two nights and as we arrived to a lovely comfortable room with loch view. Dined at hotel on both nights and enjoyed good food and service. Staff were all very attentive and wellcoming. Would have liked to have stayed longer and will be back !

Just returned from the hotel this weekend. Food on Friday night was very good. Breakfast both mornings disappointing - tasteless in fact. Anyway murder mystery night was fun and the food was ok. Had a lovely room overlooking the loch - relaxing spa bath. The sound proofing in the older part of the hotel could be greatly improved, fan from another room wakened us at 7am. The staff were very nice and helpful. All in all very good value for money. Thank you.

Room Tip: Rooms 102, 103, 104 and probably the same on the 2nd floor of the main building.

we stopped at the ballachulish hotel as part of our 1st wedding anniversary trip. i would have liked the hotel to have looked like it did on the picture on the website in the sun, but sadly in the middle of october that is a lot ot ask for. for the 4 nights that we stopped there the weather was appalling, with snow on the mountain tops by day 2. but that said it did not spoil the excellent time that we had at the hotel. from the time that we checked in the staff could not have been more helpful. we only ate once at the hotel for dinner which was very nice, but the breakfasts were a different story, they were a typical fantastic scottish feast. we could not have asked for more from the chap that saw us to are table every morning ( big guy with glasses). on the odd occasion that weather did relent the view from our room was awesome of the scottish mountains. for us the hotel was ideally situated for trips to oban, fort william, mallaig and other places. yes the hotel decor could do with a touchup in places, but that in no way detracted our stay in any way. this hotel gets top marks from me and my wife, would certainly stop again in future. many thanks again

Stayed a night in the Ballachulish on our way to the Hebrides Outer. Nice location, lovely old Victorian building. Needs some up-grading in the rooms and those stairs are a wee bit silly, creaky is not enough. perhaps ultra creaky would do.

That said the food in the restaurant was very good and the staff were pretty nice to our noisy children.

I had the miss-fortune to lose my wedding ring in the Ballachulish Hotel, it was returned to me by recorded delivery within 2 days. Pretty good stuff. My kind thanks to the staff who found and returned it.

We had a very nice stay at the Ballachulish Hotel. The property is only 3 star but feels like if they put a bit more effort it could be 4 star. Restaurant was good and had a nice selection. Bar had terrible beer selection. The view from our room was amazing. The breakfast was typical hotel buffet, disappointing. Overall we enjoyed our stay....probably because we got a discounted rate through an email offer.
