Owner description: We are a takeaway, bake on the premises, bakery. We make real bread without any additives or preservatives. The National Trust specify that we may only use one table for customers to consume food which means they must either sit together at that table or buy takeaway food. We would like to offer more but 'rules are rules' and I hope that visitors will understand when we present them with a takeaway cup! To all our lovely customers, please keep visiting!

We did buy bread, which was really good quality, but also visited the tea gardens (in the same road as the bakery) and enjoyed a lovely pot of tea and shortbread - excellent, it wasa typically english cottage garden with really good service. The village also boast a hand made soap/toiletries shop of very good standard. Along with the ususal craft/gift shops and a beautiful abbey - well worth a visit

The bakery has super produce in, the village has a lovely calm quality and we always visit when we go to bath.
Lacock is a national trust site big car park one end and some onroad parking the other. Two pubs - we like the one at the far end.
We Have visited the abbey before and it's very pretty and has some super photography opportunities.
All in all it's worth visiting.

After having felt ripped off at Clovelly earlier we really enjoyed the village of Lacock. No entrance fee to get into the village, not even parking fees. OK, a bit crowded since it's popular with coach tours (and yes, I was on such a tour as well), but really picturesque. A bonus for those Harry Potter fans amongst us: Scenes were shot at one of the ramshackle little houses next to the church and inside the abbey. The quaint little shops were cute, crowded, and offered the usual knick knack, but the bakery was excellent!
