The weather was a bit wet but the walkiing was very pleasant, and the tea shop by the car park was a good place to start

Quiet valley surrounded by hills and a stream running down from a lovely waterfall, also a reservoir with great views, good walks from here up to the Long Mynd or just have tea at the national trust cafe, also a nt shop and clean toilets, a very tranquil spot to just sit and enjoy and you may even spot red kites and buzzards flying overhead.

National Trust owned hills, moorland and waterfalls.Members entry is free otherwise parking is £3.50 at pay machines.Loads of leaflets showing the different walks to the waterfall or the high moorland or the reservoir.have been here in winter when loads of snow make the walks even better.National Trust tearoom and shop and toilets.Ranger service.Ideal place for a picnic but barbecues are not allowed.Of course dogs are allowed and children.Just outside Church Stretton.

It's a magical experience to either come from Church Stretton and approach the valley from there or to come over the Long Mynd and see it unfold.

If you like your beautiful countryside busy, then this is the place for you. It is a lovely valley, but everybody and everybody heads for it, while there is so much more to the area. By all means take a stroll along this valley, but also get up onto the top of the Long Mynd and get a real eyeful of the tremendous beauty of this area.
