My wife and I stayed here in August of 2010. It's a nice little hotel located right on the waterfront in downtown Gairloch. The room was a good size and clean. We had a few beers in the little pub downstairs, it was quiet but the beer was good. The next morning breakfast was included and it was pretty decent with eggs bacon etc.

Good, quiet hotel by the side of the loch with views across to Skye. Service just right, not too much fuss. Room OK and dinner and breakfast very good.

Fabulous hotel.
Lovely location with superb views - the sea can be heard lapping at the shoreline from our room at night...
Very clean and warm with a very spacious room despite the super king sized bed!
Staff very attentive - terrific restaurant which we'll review in the appropriate section.
Our bottle of champagne was on ice in our room on arrival - very hard to fault the Myrtle Bank Hotel...
.. at a push the decor is maybe slightly dated.
Would recommend the hotel and return here!

Spent a long weekend here, 3 night from Thursday to Sunday.
The Hotel is a little outdated compared with Big City Boutique style Hotels however who wants trendy colour schemes and decor when real attention has been given to the things that really mattered to us. .
Quality of bedding - generous plump pillow and duvet with cotton sheets - heaven
Huge King Size Bed - plenty of room to relax after a days walking
Toiletries - Locally made shampoo, hand cream, shower gell in generous full sized containers, none of those piddly little large chain branded freebies.
Conservatory - comfy sofas and chairs with stunning views over the Loch. It was great watching the Ganets diving for fish
Breakfast - Huge variety of cooked and cold choice with huge ample portions and excellent quality, all cooked fresh to order and served piping hot with a smile. ( The sleepy hollow smoked salmon was a particular favourite of mine)
Dinner - The restaurant meals again are excellent, good choice of local food with a strong emphasis on fish, cooked fresh and delivered piping hot again.
The location is excllent, on the loch within walking distance to local shops and services and short drive to the harbour.
The Hotel has achieved that balance of friendly but professional service which makes you feel at home the moment you arrive. I travel extensively in the UK for business and have spent to much time in large supposedly 5 star hotels . If I could find a Myrtle Bank in major cities I would postively look forward to my trips.

Set in a prime location right on the seafront with beautiful views.
We had a lovely front facing room. Massive by any standards with obvious steps being made to modernise the decor. In such a remote location any renovations must be a mammoth task. Yes the bathroom was rather dated in decor, but clean, functional & warm.Staying 2 nights we had planned to eat in only one night, but after our 1st nights meal instantly rebooked for the following night. The food was fantastic, & 7th heaven for seafood lovers.Breakfasts too were excellent & the wonderful memory of scrambled egg & smoked salmon lingers on

Six nights spent at this lovely hotel on a bed and breakfast tariff. The room was spacious and comfortable. Large bathroom (could do with some shelving for wash bags etc).
A first class breakfast including choice of hot. Public areas were of a high standard and very comfortable and took advantage of the wonderful view across the bay to Skye in the distance.
The restaurant is open in the evening for both residents and non residents, providing a very high class standard of food on an impressive menu. YOU MUST TRY THE SEAFOOD PLATTER - BUT IT WILL TAKE TWO OF YOU!
The staff were pleasant and discreet.
All in all, a very comfortable hotel - if a little expensive for bed and breakfast.
