Spent a night at this hotel located in the quiet Gairloch area, a real treat to a city dweller! Have eaten there a few times before and once again this lived up to expectation, although I thought the scallops at 4 for £17.50 was a bit pricey even although they were hand dived. Staff very friendly and helpful which really makes your stay worthwhile. Breakfast was hearty and filling however a point of note, breakfast tea and coffee is self served from vacuum flasks, and at 9am the temperature was lukewarm and the tea was stewed. Why not serve tea and coffee fresh to the table? Bedroom comfortable and clean. All in all a satisfying experience and no hesitation in recommending the hotel to any would be traveller.

Went get for a meal and drinks before returning home the next day. Two families with two younger children and five adults. The service was excellent even though we arrived at quite a busy time (6:00pm, Friday). We didn't wait long until our food was served and what an excellent meal it was. Locally caught seafood is prominent on the menu and we'll worth a try. As we weren't staying at the hotel, I can't comment on the rooms, but the standard of the hotel that we could see would suggest that the rooms would be similar.

Overall, I can't fault this place and will definitely return when we're back that way.

Group of 14 bikers descended and were looked after fantastically well. Good food, timely service, good value and beer called Sheep Shagger (we are from Aberdeen after all). Because the group was staying at the Highland Lodge up the road (same owners) we received a 10% discount on the meal.

Called in here for lunch, ordered our food, sat down and waited and waited. After seeing people arrive after us and get their food, we asked about ours, we were promised it within 5 minutes. Some twenty minutes later our food arrived.
This is a busy place and so they should be used to being busy but it appeared that they just couldn't cope and forgot about our order, despite the computerized tilling.
We waited an hour in total for our food, I can't help but feel that they concentrate their efforts on other customers like the coach parties that turn up regularly.
When the food arrived it was very good and the server was very apologetic offering us a free desert, but we'd spent enough time there already.
Worth a visit, but if it's busy or there's a coach in the carpark, you might want to cross the road to the pier.

Arrived late afternoon after a long drive up ( landslide shut road = 80 miles detour) and we were ready for a rest and a good meal. We were not disappointed.
We stayed at its sister hotel in Gareloch due to the pub being full but it was only 2 mins away. The sister hotel was reasonably priced, clean and the room was adequate if small and the breakfast was excellent.
Dinner at the Old Inn pub was excellent, ambiance warm and friendly. The Manageress was lovely and she explained that she employed French,Spanish and German speaking staff to help with the many foreign tourists who came to this beautiful part of Scotland.
Well worth a visit
