“Great Attraction for Young and Old”
Reviewed August 9, 2012

We are both in our late forties and had a wonderful couple of hours in the company of the charming and very knowledgeable Captain Ric ....who knew what delights our coastal waters held such colours and variety right there under our noses .....just wish I had been a better photographer to take advantage of these unique views although I did get a couple of good shots of the seals that we drifted slowly past at very close quarters.....being a bird watcher I also had amazing views of common tern , gannet, black guilimot and both red throated and great northern diver really close inshore .Ric was always on hand to answer my sometimes obscure questions and had an answer for each one of them ;0)....can not disagree too strongly enough with the one star review below this pleasurable meander round the coast never pretends to be a deep sea Atlantic wildlife cruise it is the best "glass bottom boat " experience you could wish for and with any wildlife experience nothing is guaranteed but we saw some amazing views of our undersea world that I would never get the opportunity to see without the use of the glass bottom boat we will definitely go again when we get the chance to stay in the highlands again the day after we went I believe the White Tailed Eagle flew right over the boat now that would be something to see .

“Informative Attraction”
Reviewed August 8, 2012

Thank heavens for this company. My 11 year old son Thomas now wants to become a Marine Biologist rather than a Marine (too many computer games! ) Very informative ,We did not realise the sea life around Scotland was so diverse. The staff were incredible our 4 year old niece loved the mermaid story . We were made to feel comfortable and safe in the capable hands of this well qualified company.

“We loved it - so do our cottage guests!”
Reviewed August 7, 2012

Just completed a visitor's book and wanted to say that Sealife glass-bottom boat stands out as the local outdoor attraction with the most appreciative comments from our guests this season! Certainly the most popular of the local boat trips, especially with families who have young children. Went on it ourselves last year with our (teenage) sons and they loved it - we did too. Obviously Scotland isn't a tropical coral reef but we saw plenty of "wee beasties" scuttling around the bottom of the loch and Ric Holmes' friendly and knowldgeable commentary on the other wildlife made the trip a real treat. well worth the money for anyone I'd say!!!

“Amazing Trip”
Reviewed August 6, 2012

This boat was fab, I would definitely recommend, I would say its worth the money. Each passenger has thier own looking spot, to view the seabed. We saw sea urchins, huge starfish, small fish, Scallops, mussels sea slugs, and hundreds of crabs! We saw a common seal basking in the sun,
It made all the passengers smile, I think its a fantastic boat, with a very knowledgeable skipper.
Great for family trips out.

“Disappointing. Do not trust advertisment.”
Reviewed August 6, 2012 via mobile

Whilst booklet is showing seals and dolphins, the owner will take you in three spots near the coasts and all you will see is what is there : some little star fish, small crabs, anemons, hidden scallops or urchins.

Nothing highly spectacular except if you have never seen this type of common animals we all can see at sea.

So if you come here to see dolphins or seals, as we said to the owner, do not go with this company and its little boat as there is very few chances you will see any.

Thank you for your comment.
We are sorry you didn't enjoy your cruise with us. We pride ourselves on being honest about what you will see, what you generally see and what you will not see.
Unfortunately any Wildlife Cruises cannot guarantee what will be around at any given time.
Underwater is our speciality, we always see a wide variety of marine life including different types of Starfish, Sea Anemones, Crabs, Sea Urchins, Scallops and at least 10 different varieties of seaweed which are home to even more marinelife.
If you visit Gairloch again we would like to extend a warm welcome for you to join one of our cruises free of charge.
