“Interesting and quirky”

A very warm welcoming pub with an interesting collection of vinyl records, some of which were played by the bar man. There's also an eclectic mix of artifacts and memorabilia around the pub. The beers were well kept and the food was quite plain fayre; but ample portions which tasted excellent. The pub is in a great setting with superb views. The opening times are limited so it's advisable to check before you go.

“Amazing”

This place is something that reminded me of route 66....the collection of thousands of vinyl records, kitsch car memorabilia and funky wall decor. The food was great, the staff very friendly and helpful, especially organising a taxi for us to the lighthouse...many thanks for that one. Really great food, wonderful staff and really good customer relations, a real must visit site......just to browse through the records.

“Kooky and kool”

Went for dinner here last night and given I don't eat seafood was a little worried but the steak was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. There so much to see and do in this little place inside and out and the staff were very friendly. It's a long way out but worth the trip!

“A must must must visit!”

I cannot praise the Melvaig enoygh. Stunning, quirky and beautiful views. The staff are excellent and the food is absolutely amazing. All local produce, very fresh and expertly cooked. It is proper Scotch food cooked by someone who loves what they do. It is a joy to eat here, and you will love the records - l can't say anymore than that or it will ruin your surprise on arrival.
