I booked this accomadation on the morning I was due to travel and Dorothy could not be more helpful. Our visit was for one night only much to my sadness. We were made to feel so welcome. The accomadation was clean homely, warm and comfortable. The beds were really comfy.
The breakfast was fantastic. The farmhouse has beautiful views from it and the area is gorgeous. Our first visit to Northumberland will certainly not be our last.
I returned home alone as I had visited with my daughter, who remained in the area, due to work and Dorothy was so kind in offering her friendship to my daughter, whilst my daughter remains in the area. I cannot recommend Bilton Barns highly enough.

We stayed for four nights in Catherine's Suite on a self catering basis. The suite itself was extremely well equipped and well planned. The living/dining/kitchen area was on the first floor offering a fantastic sea view and views of nearby Alnmouth.
The kitchen was equally as good as at home and was user friendly.
On our arrival we were greeted by a family member as Dorothy was busy harvesting !!!!! A truly busy lady !!!!! We spoke to Dorothy later that day and she was keen to ensure that we had everything we needed.
The location is perfect for a peaceful break and well placed to explore the area. The coastal village of Almouth is a mile away and Alnwick is about a ten minute drive.
We would definitely recommend Bilton Barns and are already planning another visit.

we spent 3 lovely days at Bilton Barns. The family room we stayed in was very spacious and had everything we required, plus those special touches eg. fluffy towels, a lovely big bed with a mattress that didn't give me backache and a good sized tv, that worked! The view out of the 3 windows was just fabulous. With good breakfasts served promptly using local produce, the raspberry jam made by Dorothy's neighbours was so nice I bought some to take home, we shall defintely be returning to discover more of Northumberland's beauty!

We stayed at Bilton Barns for a short 3-day break in the farmhouse itself on a bed and breakfast basis.
We booked the four poster room which was enormous, with fabulous views across the rolling green countryside down to the coast.
Dorothy and Brian were very friendly hosts suggesting places to visit and some great places to eat.
The breakfasts were enormous made with locally sourced produce including such treats as 'Mary's homemade marmalade' and locally smoked Craster kippers.
The farm is ideally placed for trips out and we particularly enjoyed visiting the Farne Islands, Bamborough and Holy Island.
Will definitely be returning to this lovely place sooner rather than later.

Absolubtly fantastic! We stayed in one of the suites at Bilton barns for one week and the only down side was that we had to leave. The suites were spacious and very tastefully decorated with everything you need and more. The situation of the accommodation is spectacular with beautiful views down to the coast and its central location meant it was perfect for us as we had several sites we wanted to visit around Northumberland. Dorothy and Brian are lovely hosts and were immensley helpful and knoweldgeable about the local area (especially where to eat!!). We've booked for next summer already!

We stayed at Bilton Barns in one of the barns on a bed and breakfast basis, but self catering is also available. The farm is situated down a long lane, with beautiful rural and coastal views to Alnmouth. Alnwick is just down the road.
The barn was very comfortably fitted out and high quality.in traditional style
The owners were very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were superb.
Highly, highly recommended. excellent value for money.
it was evident that a lot of thought had been given to ensuring their guests had a vast amount of local information from transport, to restaurants to walks,
Bilton Barns would suit guests of all ages and interests, Is peacefully located for lovers of space and tranquillity without total isolation.
