Spent 2 nights on 6 -7 sept with a voucher deal .. 2 Nd time here and we were even given same room facing onto front street and church .. A very relaxing B and B with no frills but all the essentials you would need .. Breakfast superb and staff really nice .. Alnmouth is gorgeous and has some charming friendly pubs to chill in the evening .. The new Italian at hope and anchor was lovely and food splendid .. Can't wait to return to alnmouth

I stayed here recently on my way breaking my journey between Scotland and the South of England. I had a very friendly greeting and when I confirmed that I had my dogs with me I was offered the option of them joining us for breakfast! (Decided against it not because of them but did not want Millie joining me on the bench seating that we were offered; they were perfectly comfortable in my car whilst we had breakfast having had their early morning walk along the beautiful Alnmouth beach.

Suggestions for dinner options was very useful although i believe they will soon be offering dinners themselves in future.

The rooms were very clean and well equipped and there was a fridge on the landing with fresh milk for hot drinks and a selection of drinks for which there was an honesty system for payment.

Breakfast was very good and a good selection for the cooked breakfast, although I would rather have had one quality sausage rather than 2 'Wall's' type bready sausages!

I wish I had been staying longer to take advantage of this lovely village and beach. I would certainly recommend them.

Room Tip: My room faced the rear of the property and so no traffic noisse.

If you wish to stay in a clean B&B with a nice breakfast to start your day, then The Saddle will fit the bill. As stated on previous reviews, some bits are a little dated, but it is a oldish property & would not suit to be ultra modern. Our room overlooked the car parking & was comfortable with a compact On Suite Shower Room, all very clean & tidy.

Breakfast will suit most people with a nice selection of Fresh Fruit, Yogurt & Cereals etc. Plus of course a lovely, freshly cooked, Full English which will sustain you for a good part of the day. Nice helpful people that run The Saddle too.

The Car Parking is slightly limited, but if you are a reasonable driver you shoud have little problem accessing it. We would stay again.

Alnmouth is a nice quiet Village, but still manages several Pubs, most, if not all serve food. Alnwick is a few mins drive away.

Room Tip: Room 1 looks over the rear above the carpark & is quiet & comfortable!

We stayed here as we booked late and there were very few spaces left in Alnmouth on a Saturday night. We weren't disappointed, we were cycling and the owners happily stored our bikes in the front room. Room was small but clean and tidy. Breakfast was very good-nice variety as well with smoked salmon and kippers as well as usual cooked English. Owner was very friendly and recommended local places to eat.

Stayed here twice while working in the area. The village is quiet and relaxing to walk around.

B&B is clean, if a little dated. Similar to staying at your grandparents house. Functional, basic, homely, but old. Great breakfast cooked to order. Free wi-fi. Parking at the rear. Nice touches with books / magazines / drinks in common areas. Great food in the pub next door (The Sun).

Accommodating / flexible hosts.

Stayed here for a local celebration. Room was lovely although, as said by others dated, we had a very large bed and full bathroom which was at the back of the property, room 4 for those that are interested. Owners were lovely and incredibly helpful, we were shown to our room and around the building and also told about some renovations which were in the process of being done, although only during the day and to the benefit of any future guests a soon to be restaurant opening on the premises soon. Dogs are welcome to stay here which I felt was nice for those dog lovers out there. Breakfast was freshly cooked every morning during our 2 nights stay and after having a late night on our second evening they were more than happy to let us book a late breakfast. Parking however can be an issue as the car park is accessed via a narrow alley but with a large family saloon car we found it manageable, just. Service with a smile and would recommend a visit to Alnmouth as it is beautiful.

Room Tip: Room 4 is at the rear of the property and has a large full bathroom.

I had a two night stay, the rooms are lovely and clean. The owners are very friendly and helpfull, gave me the tour of the place and recommended various places to eat. We ended up in the Sun, the food and locals where welcoming. Had a great night. The breakfast was very good and you could choose from a variety of options. Great Coffee. Alnmouth itself is a nice place right on the coast, clean beach with white sand, not full of people. We had a fantastic two days. Thanks

Room Tip: Rooms in the back would be quieter, as they are on the main road. It did not bother us, even though...
